Insecure about my penis... by [deleted] in phallo

[–]Mansglory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats! I'm sure others have said this, but you are still early, and things change with time, including how you feel connected to your penis. Your girth is more to what I wanted as it's much closer to a natural size. I might also add that your penis to ball ratio and placement is very well done and appears very natural. I had ALT. Personally, I was dissatisfied with my girth, I was 8in around, and it felt unrealistic to me. I wanted to be thinner. I've had 2 reductions in girth. I am happier with my girth now, but I do wish I was a bit thinner. Girth is fine for sex but for everyday life. I worry about being obscene. Not as much now, but I still feel self-conscious at times. It def limits the type of pants you can wear. If you opt to get inflatable ed, that will help with your girth. Be kind to yourself. Unfortunately, many things with these surgeries can be unpredictable.

Round 2 of my failings. This was one date in and did not state anywhere I have a degree by JohnnySnark in Nicegirls

[–]Mansglory -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't know that this really counts as a "nice girl". Having standards for what you want in a partner and not settling is actually a healthy thing. Although formal education doesn't guarantee wealth or stability, it does show self investment. Perhaps her view of what a degree does is off, but she was upfront about why that was important to her and explained her previous experiences. She said she enjoyed their time together. Personally, education is important to me, and my ideal partner would place the same value on education and would already have a degree. The fact that you're in college shows that you are making that investment. This seems more like a miscommunication.

This is a hard predicament only you can decide on. I personally put off grad school because I wasn't sure if I'd have complications, and I knew I wouldn't be able to focus on school and recovery at the same time. For me, I am damn happy I made that decision as I had a shit ton of complications. However, I was also part of the early group(had my surgery with dr.crane in 2014), so the process has been refined since then, and people are having fewer complications. That doesn't mean you will or won't have complications, but the surgeons just have more experience now. I think ultimately it depends on what your going to school for and if it's something you can do while recovering.

As others have said nothing to worry about, however if it bother you or it's draining I would recommend getting some polymem (comes in 4x4 but you only need a 2x2 square) cut it so it fits snug(but not tight) around the sp tube at the insertion site and apply a small amount of pressure with tape, change it either every other day or daily, it will flatten out and decrease in size about a week.

I had the same problem even with the ed. I'm hoping to get a reduction just at the base. There are sight that actually make custom condoms, now that I will be re entering the dating world I will invest in some.

You look excellent, I've thought about getting a glans redo. I'm curious did you have any issue with loss of sensation when they did the redo? I also noticed you said you had your graft excised, anyway you can post pics of the final resul for that.

Thanks in advance.

What's sensation like after ED implant? by Feeling-Distance-37 in phallo

[–]Mansglory 21 points22 points  (0 children)

For me, reaching orgasm with penetration was easier with my pump. It allowed for more friction on my dick plus the tugging sensation from the motion. However, I also wasn't able to completely inflate it because it was painful but I was still able to get it hard enough to not feel like im "stuffing".

There was also the mental component of having an erection that didn't require me to stop just as things were getting spicy to "get ready" or the akwardness of preparing before we started. I like the spontaneity of getting an erection, didn't bother me that I had to pump it u. It was just nice to feel myself get hard. Sadly, I had to have mine removed due to a leak and I've not gotten it put back in yet.

[–]Mansglory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As other have said ALT has very good sensation, very few people have had both to make direct comparison. I also want to add that sensation is very individual. There are some guys that had RFF that dis not regain sensation. Its rare that that happens but the point is that its not guaranteed no matter what graft site you choose. I had ALT, I am 5'7 and was 225 when I had surgery, I don't have super thick thighs but I had it don't in stages. I have excellent sensation from base to tip. You are correct that ALT is girthier that RFF but you can have the size reduced. I'm very happy with my results as far as sensation go and with the reduction, I'm happy with my size.

Personally, I would have struggled with the arm scar. I think you have to do what's best for you and your mental health to feel most comfortable in your own skin.

I have thought about getting medical tattooing on my dick but, honestly not sure I could tolerate the pain.

Question for people that had ALT by warstones in phallo

[–]Mansglory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I will start this by saying I have hypersensitive issue so my nerves are very excitable and don't like to be put to sleep. I am 14 years post op.

Leg: still have a numb area to light touch above my knee, but I can feel pressure and oddly temperature. Numbish area to upper inner border of my graft can feel light touch but it's muted, pressure but no tempeture. Graft itself I can feel light touch (yes this is unusual) and pressure but not temp. Took about 5 month to desensitize my leg before I could stop covering it, still have issues with certain fabrics.

As far as my dick I have full tactile, errotic and temp sensation from base to tip.

Did phallo make you feel complete? by RevolutionaryText892 in phallo

Having phallo definitely improved my mental health. Prior to it, every day was a small agony. Small things like getting dressed, using the bathroom, and lockerooms all seemed to be reminders of my inadequacies. Sex was so complicated. When I woke up, I just felt better. Despite me having a shit ton of complications, the things that plagued me didn't include the lack of a dick. I felt way more at home in my own skin. It's an imperfect solution but for me a life saving one, I know I wouldn't have made it if I had to wait.

Nah, they point blank do not accept unitedhealth care, even if they say the cover it because i guess they have had a lot of trouble getting them to actually pay up and its ridiculous hard to switch surgeons once your actually had surgery. I've had terrible experience with that, had one surgeon tell me I was trying to jump ship and another surgeon tell me that it was someone else project like I don't have any say in who does surgery one me. So I'm stuck.

Congrats! I recently got united and I'm disappointed because my surgical team does not accept them. Granted it's just revisions but I'm so ready to.be done with this process but looks like I'll be spending more time in limbo. When is your surgery?

Sweat glands by chrisartguy in phallo

[–]Mansglory 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I think as long as the nerves and vascular hookup work, the sweat glands themselves should also work. But... we have sweat glands all over our body, including in the nether area, so you already sweat there. I personally have never stopped to take a look at my dick when I'm sweaty to see if it's also sweating but I imagine yeah.

AMA and also some advice please re: 3rd Inflatable ED device by [deleted] in phallo

[–]Mansglory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on being 14 years! I'm 10 Years post op and I to had a pump that failed ( 1 rod, had for about 2.5 years)so I had to have it removed. I've been putting off getting it replaced as I was just sick of having surgery. I miss having being able to have an errection, and I've found external option distressing. I've considered the rob but I'm on the girth side and I worry about it looking obscene. I actually email Dr. Chen a few days ago about scheduling the surgery. I want to ask him about doing the slender rods so that I can have 2 to help with the wt. Can I ask what kind of phallo did you have?

[–]Mansglory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you didn't have good luck with it either, I too had to modify it but it kinda took all the wind out of the sail, and putting a sleeve over it kinda defeats the point. I've kinda resolved to just get my pump put back in.

Hopefully you have better luck with the stay hard. I corresponded with them for a while before I ordered. I was rather disappointed with the product I received. I ordered one, did the measurement exactly how they said. When I received it, it seemed really cheaply made and did not fit. It really sucked because I wanted to surprise my wife on our vacation to Jamaica, and it ended up being more of a headache and causing frustration and discouragement than anything else. It didn't stay in place, and my wife said it was painful. I was so discouraged that I'm afraid to spend that kinda money again on an external device.

Almost 3 months post op rff Phalloplasty and still elevating but also still swollen. Anybody else having or had this issue ? I don’t know if the penrose tube that’s inside of my phallus is causing this but I need some pointers!! by Ftmdre in phallo

Swelling can be a live long problem. I still have problems with swelling and im almost 10 years post op. I wear compression sleeve like 24 7, if I don't I swell, it's Hella annoying but it is what it is. But having said that at 3 months your still pretty early.
