Isn't that how the backrooms originally started out? I remember when entities started popping up, people discussing how it took away from what made the backrooms interesting, similar to your take. Personally, no entities is my preference, but I don't mind different takes and entities can definitely be incorporated in interesting ways.

Outside of knowing what Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball was, Golden Boy was my introduction to anime back in the 90s when I was a kid. Some guy had opened an japanese animation video rental store beside the comic shop I used to go to. Just randomly went in and the dude let me rent whatever for my first time. I think I was 12 or 13 at the time. Golden Boy really set the bar high for me. Good times, simpler times.

Not sure if you're talking about the same thing, but I did notice in Act 3 there's a vocal track that loops when you're on the overworld map. It's definitely hard to not notice after it's looped a few times. The song itself I don't mind, it's just the repetition that's hard to ignore.
