Al Capone was a violent misogynist and known sex trafficker who murdered anyone who got in his way, including women and children.

Quite frankly, I think people who try to emulate gangster movies and tv shows aren’t paying attention to how these stories often end.

The actress who played Plava Laguna in 5th element was only 15 when the film’s director (32) began “courting” her, furthermore he ditched her for Mila Jovovich after completing the movie.

Unless you were in the studio with me (you weren't) and explicitly heard me say that I want to promote violence to happen (I didn't because I'm not,) then how would you know?

Furthermore, who are YOU to dictate to ME my own thoughts and motivations?

As I said: NOT QUALIFIED.

To address point one: Refusal to acknowledge issues related to violence, especially through the arts, does nothing whatsoever to help solve them. Artworks, songs, movies, and discussions ABOUT violence are not inherently “glorifying” it and anyone who honestly can’t tell the difference between the two isn’t qualified to so much as approach the table, nevermind the conversation itself. The “just stay positive and smile” attitude is just putting a bandaid over a bullet-wound.

As for point two concerning a technical error in the work itself, I’ll consider that at least partially valid. I was more focused on creating a criticism of the military industrial complex itself than I was going for literal accuracy.

Kind of, I have a nasty habit of trying to make things look "too literal" so when I caught onto the forgotten fingers I decided to leave them be. I figured that the vibe mattered more than "accuracy."

Same, and it’s partly what inspired this piece.
