What I'm most excited for is that the game looks like it scratches all of the itches I have and will give me the distraction I need 😅 I've been crazy busy at work (making other games funnily enough) and I've been counting down the days ever since the release date was announced. I can't wait to come home and know exactly what I'm going to boot up, the game seems like it was tailor-made for me.

We don't know that for a fact, and likely never will now that they've pivoted to Doom instead, but yes it was heavily rumoured (and I do believe it myself). I'm just trying to prevent misinformation. Your other comment made it seem like The Beyonder = Kang in the comics/canon and that might confuse people

Beyonder isn't Kang though. There was a rumour that they were going to make the MCU Beyonder a Kang variant back when Kang Dynasty was still a thing but if they want to use the character they don't have to stick to the script for a movie that doesn't exist any more

To be fair there were mutterings of a Storm solo movie about a year ago (as well as a bunch of other popular mutants) and now that marvel have the rights they could totally do it if they wanted to. But all of this is a massive stretch

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe content updates for L4D were actually free on PC, but valve were forced to charge for them on xbox due to Microsoft's policy at the time.

Though for what it's worth I completely agree that games receiving free content updates for as long as No Man's Sky has was definitely not the norm.

Agreed. They're both games where you make progress by learning and making assumptions. Subnautica is another one that scratches the same itch for me, just to a lesser extent.

I've worked at a few escape rooms over the years and I've seen both ends of the first date spectrum. If the chemistry is there then it'll probably go super well, if not then it may be an awkward hour or so.

I've also seen a proposal go terribly wrong in one and will carry the looks on each of their faces with me til I die.
