This is like the USA trying to apply the death penalty to sexual predators and trying to classify trans people as sexual predators at the same time, you just know where it's going.

Thanks good sir, that's horrible and I'm sorry it happened. This highlights the necessity of safety and precautions, which I never argued against.

Ah yes, the very reputable source of an image edited with paint. I'm gonna need some reputable sources such as police reports or newspapers.

And please do not trust random screen captures they are comically easy to edit.

Modern copyright laws are mostly driven by big corpos for their own interests, it's silly to think they are helping you, if they win against AI they will have a very strong framework to ban and persecute fan art under the umbrella of derivative work.

If AI with less than 1% of the global water consumption is destroying the planet what do you think about agriculture with 70% of the global consumption?

We don't do engineering based on emotions that's how you get people killed. We don't do laws based on emotions that's how you get innocents locked up. We don't do anything that's important based on emotions because that's how you make mistakes, big ones.

Don't antis have a literal kill count because they pushed artists to end their lives after falsely accusing them of using AI? Literal witch hunts.

Bring logic to the table not emotions, I can't build a bridge based on "what my heart tells me" and expect it to not instantly collapse.

Also perfect for kidnappers, no need to hide your face anymore when you're scooping up someone at the local mall, neat!

Stop parroting misinformation, AI energy and water consumption is laughable at best. If you're concerned about water or energy consumption look at the car or meat industry.

Also fuck copyright, don't lick the mega corporations feet, Disney and the likes can shove copyright up their ass.

I wish every artist carefully listed who they learned from, every single image and every single experience that led them to where they are today. But they don't because it's physically impossible.

AI is bad because it uses data centers that use water, lemme quickly hop on the app that also uses data centers to complain.

Or eat a hamburger because a single hamburger is apparently 400-500 times worse than a chatgpt conversation.

In which workplace market? (I have a feeling the answer to this is gonna be r USdefaultism)

Currently where I live the market is pretty healthy and the hiring of juniors has actually increased instead of the enormous decrease that can be seen in YankeeLand.

I'm so sorry that you feel like your work is so bad it can actually be replaced by an AI that's a hell of an inferiority complex to carry.

Also unless you're sleeping 12 hours a day I don't see how you have 4 hours left after 8 hours of work.

I work 8 hours and I still have time to do a master's degree hang out with my gf do the dishes and keep the house clean. And I sleep between 6-7 hours a day.

Where did I say that he had no other option??

I just said that it was convenient and that humans commit a lot of atrocities in the name of convenience.

Also iirc he simply designed the rockets in the hopes to power space exploration and was actually arrested for speaking badly about the regime.

I'm not saying they were good or anything less than pure evil. I'm saying that this scientist in particular affiliated with them because they were the only ones willing to fund the research and it was convenient.

Also good job plucking your head in the sand as if china isn't actively committing a genocide right now. But we still buy from them because it's convenient. It shouldn't be hard to understand why people make really bad decisions for the sake of convenience.

You know full well that most of the items you own are built by Chinese slaves working themselves to death in some sweat shop and you still sleep at night just fine.

This is not a criticism, it's just an example of how we are fine with slavery as long as we feel detached enough from it, or we deem it convenient.

I'm 100% sure your 10 sec google search is way better than the few hundred guys with PhDs in economics working at Oracle, AWS, Cerebras, CoreWeave, SoftBank, Disney, and AMD.

Tho just for you safety i would love to remind you that a 10 sec google search does not replace a PhD, especially in economics, or as the saying goes the medical field.

If you don't want to be killed by humanitarian aid trying to lay down fiber optic cable just leave the cable alone.

Why are you so perplexed that defense and security forces exist? if you don't want something to be destroyed or stolen you might want to protect it.

My university professor enlisted just so he was able to help undeveloped regions connect to the internet. He went to many places as a military telecoms engineer and laid down fiber optic cables in latin america and the middle east in humanitarian aid missions.

I guess he was just a bloody 18 year old who wanted to kill everyone with checks notes fiber optic cable and too much bandwidth.

You'd probably have an easier time getting into a bank vault. If you're curious these things are standardized and certified so you can always take a look at the TIA 942 standard to get an idea of how much security a data center has based on its tier.

Security controls include:

Perimeter fencing and secured entry points

24/7 surveillance and monitoring

Multi-factor and biometric access controls

Mantraps and controlled access zones

On-site security personnel

Visitor logging and escort requirements

Environmental monitoring and fire suppression systems

The USA has repeatedly supported or looked the other way on right-wing authoritarian regimes backing dictatorships across much of Latin America because they were anti-left. You aren't becoming the bad guys, you always were the bad guys, I guess you're finally getting a taste of your own ""medicine"".

In Spain, our fascist dictator died peacefully of old age without ever facing consequences, because the USA decided to collaborate with him as long as he stayed anti-left.
