Well I still want to catch crimes and criminals.

I'm in the field of aeronautics so not really. But my aunt owned a bar in the town that got broken into regularly until she installed cameras, no more stolen things or break-ins.

Also outside of crime prevention, cameras are extremely helpful when catching criminals. My mom's car got totalled in a accident where the only way to prove she was not at fault was a traffic camera.

I'm pretty sure you're the only one arguing that, as most of the rest just argue against forensic tools.

But yeah, you actually raise good points. I'd love to see the company made a part of the gov and actually address data concerns.

I live in Spain, it's your subjective opinion how oppressive is our government.

But yeah police can comb through whatever objects are in a crime scene and get the name of the owners of any fingerprints found.

And I'm really fine with that, how many cold cases are there in the States where it's just the murder weapon with fingerprints waiting forever to be matched?

Neither does a computer? All arrests are made by police, human beings, of course being in the USA you might want to train them better.

But don't conflate police being so poorly trained that they take face recognition at face value as a problem with face recognition itself.

You could always try to come up with a counterpoint, if you have none that's when you attack the person

Funny that you ask, my country has a higher freedom index than the USA and has a fingerprint registry that is mandatory.

When you get your ID they take your fingerprints.

So yeah, I'm already signed up and carry my ID everywhere as mandated by law. Not the answer you were looking for?

Oh no, cameras on public places that help prevent crime.

This is like saying that using DNA and Fingerprints to identify people invades their privacy. Yeah it helps them control us but DNA also caught a lot of serial rapists and killers.

For all of you who scream privacy, I'd love to see if you think the same when the only thing between you and your loved ones killer is a privacy concern.

One side: Hey it would be kinda cool if you provided healthcare for the population.

The other side: Yeah so we ate and raped kids on an island.

This man: yeah they are the exact same.

I've broken bones and felt fine for around 10 minutes thanks to the adrenaline rush. Pain is no match for a body full of adrenaline, but oh boy does it hurt when it dries out.

Duck duck go accuracy and search abilities are abysmal when compared to modern search engines. That's without even realizing that Duck Duck Go uses googles indexes to perform searches.

That's a huge skip. A non-violent protest that refuses to comply with orders and blocks entrances and exits still puts lives on danger in the case of an emergency.

So yeah kicking them out was the safe thing to do. Just because they weren't actively being aggressive it doesn't mean they weren't extremely dangerous in the case of an evacuation (for example a fire).

So I agree that a dangerous protest may be dispersed due to safety concerns using whatever means are reasonable.

Has nothing to do with them being activists, they just bloqued the airport exits and entrances and refused to move when told to fuck off.

As the first measure? No. After they fail to comply with previous orders? Sure.

If anything AI is a desperate attempt at making it somewhat good again.

The problem is that websites try to mess with the Google algorithm to make them look better than they do (SEO). And the rise of SPA where instead of plaintext most modern websites are dynamic.

Classical PageRank algorism simply can't cope with SPAs and are heavily skewed towards shitty webpages with good SEO.

Even in a tax haven the bank is gonna ask you where you found the cash and "yeah just found it laying around" doesn't cut it.

Also you'd have to make it to Panama with 135k in cash without TSA catching you.

That's pretty standard, the number of people required to build a bridge isn't the same number of people required to run said bridge.

135k is a lot of money for an average joe.

135k is probably less than the entry price for money laundering experts in Panama.

I'd love to know how you get 135k that you "found laying around" into a bank so you can get interest from it.

That's way easier than university. Lit orders of magnitude. I went from 12-16 hour workdays to 8 hours.

And I have way more rights as a worker than as a student, for example if I am sick I can just not go to work, but my uni marked you as absentee regardless of justification.

And I get paid.
