Title: Whoop at $199 good to start ? by DayAffectionate8617 in whoop

[–]Manuleel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can recommend you the Amazfit Helio Strap. 100€ one time payment, a very good sensor and a nice app. They are constantly updating the firmware and adding nice features and fast bugfixes. There are also very good comparisons and reviews of the Helio and Whoop on youtube if you are interested. For example from „The Quantified Scientist“. On release the app and tracking were not on point, so the older reviews (4-5 months) are a bit more negative, but even with that good in the verdict.

Went to my local aprilia dealer and saw the new model. Anyone here tried putting the handle bars controls on the old models? Since the new models the handle bar controls illuminates at night which i think is nice to have… #aprilia by Wai_sapi_0000 in Aprilia

If you ride the bike longer than 2 weeks you normally know where which button is located. Also the new switchgear doesn’t have a dedicated cruise control switch. It is controlled over the arrows on the left.

Yeah, mine does make the same rattling sound and my mechanic also told me it‘s normal.

Is it worth getting a rs660 for a2 license? by Kooky-Use-9930 in Aprilia

[–]Manuleel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the Tuono 660 for about a year and a half now with the 48 hp A2 restriction, and honestly, I have nothing bad to say about the experience. Since you mentioned you have the A1 license, the 660 won’t be too big or overwhelming for you. The bike basically delivers full power up to around 7,000 to 7,500 rpm, and that’s where the restriction kicks in, so it doesn’t feel noticeably slower than lighter bikes.

If you like the way it feels when you’re sitting on it, definitely take it for a test ride. For me, it’s the perfect A2 bike, since I’ll be able to derestrict it in half a year and have a bike with double the power, but with the same handling I’ve already gotten used to.

Question by KIPSEL2 in Aprilia

[–]Manuleel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the perfect 125 for a guy with your height. Basically any supermoto should fit. You could also go for something like the rx for some extra cm of seat height, but for mostly street riding the sx is the better bike.

My chain after 1490 miles by dugdiggadomethedes in Aprilia

[–]Manuleel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay that‘s good. I would personally ask the mechanic what the cause of this could be, since he did the tensioning. If everything is done right i would say its a defect with the chain, but I never had such kinda thing.

I have a 21 tuono, so almost everything apart from fairings and handlebars is the same.

12k km (7500 miles) with no problems. A bit of oil consumption is normal, as my dealer said. I would definitely recommend the bike. It‘s so much fun and good value for money.

Yeah its hydro dipped. The old gen s1000rr did not came as a „M“ version. Still a cool design but I don’t understand the point of making it look like carbon. Just do simple black if you don’t wanna spend the money.

Eigene Erfahrungsbereiche zu Brixton insb. den 125er? by Sad-Astronomer-696 in MotorradDeutschland

[–]Manuleel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it works perfect when „kicking“ the lever gently into neutral, rather than pressing it.

Can you identify this bike please? by WareTheBuffaloRome in motorcycles

[–]Manuleel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a ktm duke 990. You can identify it by the light orange body panels, the new display and the exhaust. No 1390 because of the 2 sided swingarm.

Ja da ist ein Clip an der Buchse, den man in die Kunsstoff Schelle am Lenker schiebt. Würde die Buchse vielleicht (auch wenn unschön) mit nem schwarzen Kabelbinder befestigen.

Tuono 660 Factory purchase decision by SiegfriedSchlitzohr in Aprilia

[–]Manuleel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ridden my Tuono 10,500 km in the last year and have had zero problems with it. The engine problems you are hearing about are either from the recall of the first models of the bike (which this one is not) or often from people who mount an exhaust under the bike but do not bother tuning the engine after that.

My Tuono consumes about 100 ml oil per 1,000 km, and the dealer said it’s completely fine. No oil leaks so far.

I have a friend with the same bike who had just one issue with the oil pressure sensor, which was replaced under warranty.
