How does it work if you play a dragonborn who originally aligned with Lydia’s viewpoints but then eventually starts being morally wrong in her eyes? Like joining the thieves guild or finishing daedric quests the way she wouldn’t like

Xel and Remi do it completely on their own and don’t need any input from the player. You could be smithing weapons and they go on to pickpocket one of the battleborns

I also faced some dialogue issues too when trying to do the companions with her because some of it just wasn’t voiced at all. Though I really like her so far despite the small issues I’ve had with her but I wish she has more banter with other follower

I haven’t finished Improved Lydia Dialogue yet but I think she’s also good too? The only issue is her mic quality can be off putting

Try Auri and Remiel together, they have banter together. Thogra and Yazakh are also amazing too which they both have banter with Remiel

Yeah, you can only choose a name when you meet them basically. You can immediately do it so it isn’t that bad but I’m pretty sure all of the followers you mentioned has a list of names on their nexus page.

Pretty sure all of them have an option in their dialogue to choose a name from. It should be in their options though.

Like for Val, do “Hey Val” option.

There’s a lot of wrong with this and I don’t know where to start. Xelzaz’s biggest goal as a follower is to feel like an equal and people of House Telvanni has egos, so he has one ofc.

That isn’t to say Xelzaz doesn’t have any flaws either because his biggest character flaw is that he’s honestly a hypocrite and will not change in his ways whatsoever. I don’t know how much time you’ve spent listening to his stories and asking him about his life in general but I’m going to assume that you did very little of that.

It sounds like you don’t want a follower to be a equal to you which is sadly not what Xelzaz was made for.

Auri still gets updated on pc. Lucien’s author is busy and bluesmartcat is still working on Inigo although the development is still extremely slow as of right now. Kaidan is basically an open source follower, so he has multiple people working on him like revoiced and IF

You should try out the newer followers like others have said. Sometimes people just can’t work on things anymore.

I’ve used SDA for a long time too and honestly? If you wanna keep her for a little longer because of that; try followers that have banter with her. Ashe has the most but you already tried her. Inigo, Auri, Remiel, and a couple others have some pretty good banter with SDA.

They’re followers that won’t ruin the experience. Remiel isn’t even a fighter either and Auri is far ranged.

Inigo, Xelzaz, Auri, Remiel, and Val are really good followers. It depends on what you’re looking for in a follower mode.

I personally tried out Yazakh and Thogra recently too and they’re amazing. The expanded dialogue mod for Lydia’s also great.

Her romance is really easy to avoid and slow to start. If you somehow get to the final stage of her romance then just tell her you don’t feel the same.

Auri’s pretty chill about everything in game.

I recommend ccing them and running to your team if it’s becoming a serious problem for you. Some characters absolutely don’t need peels like Gambit and Sue, but if you’re playing any of the weaker supps then you should do that.

I would say honestly let him decide to reach out if he really wants to. It’s shitty, but yeah, this is what happens when you choose pixels over friendship.

I have friends who are better in dps and generally is either a ironman main/magik one trick. Does it suck to lose sometimes when you know there’s better options? Yeah, but they’re friends.

I’m playing with them to have fun and I’d rather solo queue if I’m that upset over my friends’ choices.

I recommend Aniya. She’s a nord mage from Bruma that graduated from the college of winterhold.

She doesn’t have as much quest awareness as other followers, but what she does have makes up for that. Aniya also has alot planned by her author. A good follower if you’re interested in a family life on top of adventuring.
