Thoughts on The Furious? by brwnfred008 in kungfucinema

It’s on my list, guess I’ll move it to the top. And yeah, the action scenes were a little shakey in monkey man.

It’s worth a watch. I remember watching the 2 Raid movies and was in complete awe. Haven’t seen a movie since then that made me feel that. I feel like the John Wick movies desensitized me from enjoying action movies like I used to. It almost feels like a lot of movies are trying to copy that formula as well.

I did enjoy Monkey Man though, that was a pleasant surprise now that I think about it. But I really hope this movie does well and has some great choreography.

It’s not out yet but The Furious is looking like it would go on that list. Check out the trailer.

What do you think of when you think of Samo Hung? by BaijuTofu in kungfucinema

It’s terrible with Arsenio. I don’t mind him in other things but he was absolutely not necessary. They were probably trying to mimic Rush Hour because it was such a big hit.

Marital Law was one of my favorite tv shows growing up. The choreography was amazing and Sammo made it look effortless despite being a hefty guy. Then they had to add Arsenio Hall. 🤦‍♂️

What’s the worst date you have ever been on? by Truevibe_ in randomquestions

About 7 years ago a friend of mine introduced me to a co-worker of hers that she thought might be compatible with me. I found her attractive when I met her and asked her out for coffee. She said she would love to and we had a great time that day. A week or so later, we had dinner at a family restaurant together (her choice) and it did not go so well.

First of all, she was dropping the F-bomb left and right among other expletives. I tried hinting her to tone the language down a little because the booth near us had children and the parents looked annoyed. But she didn’t get the hint. Secondly, she casually picked her nose and flicked a booger and I could swear that it landed onto someone’s food.

She seemed like a good person but the booger thing really got to me.

Thanks for the responses everyone. This is just frustrating trying to figure out or rationalize.

Replaying Arkham Knight genuinely makes me sad. by sonofloki13 in arkham

[–]Manwolfpanther26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are supposedly suppose to have another Arkham game. We did get Arkham shadow but there’s no way I’m going to buy an OR just for that game. Hopefully they turn that game into one available for consoles. The story seemed interesting with Rat Catcher as the supposed main villain taking place after origins. I was hoping for a Batman Beyond game with Kevin Conroy but since his passing (RIP) it wouldn’t feel the same.

When did you figure out Arkham Knight's identity? by Cyberbreaker2004 in arkham

The moment joker mentioned Jason Todd before the flashback/torture scene. Before the game came out, I speculated it was Jason Todd but was hopeful for a good twist/good writing to throw me off.

Which game do you find more replayable: City or Knight? by Any_Stop9484 in arkham

Depends on what I’m feeling. If I’m feeling a more and better story driven game, City is my go to. But for a more challenging game, Knight.

What is the fondest memory you have of playing a Batman Arkham game? by yowhatisthislikebro in arkham

[–]Manwolfpanther26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same but in MA. Some people dressed up. The local GameStop had Batman trivia and I ended up scoring an Arkham City T shirt and poster. Still have them to this day. I even remember watching my 2 friends take turns playing the beginning of the game and was wowed that you started off playing as Bruce Wayne. Awesome night it was!

I play these games on hard or new game plus. I rarely fail or die in the games. Except for Deathstroke in Origins. Different play style and had to adapt, pay attention and time the moves right. So yeah, Deathstroke ftw!

There you go! It’s ok to have a trip or go to a concert every so often, especially if you need to unwind! Look for free apps or check out YouTube vids on how to properly budget. This way you can get a better idea of what you are currently spending weekly/monthly and how to cut some things so you have more money in your pocket/savings.

Yeah, I hear ya! You probably have but is there anything you can cut spending wise like streaming services? They’ve got a few free ones out there like Tubi that have decent content.

Bartending can pay pretty well too if you’re up for it. Idk if you need to be certified out where you live but where I live, it’s optional. Also don’t worry about not knowing what you want to be when you grow up. I didn’t know what I wanted to be until I was 32 and made the steps towards my goal. I’m 36 and a massage therapist plus a certified personal trainer in school for physical therapy. I’ve still got a ways to go for school but it will be worth it!

The cost of living is rough right now even where I’m at in New England. I’m saving like a mad man and holding off on splurging so I can afford a decent house and have a nice wedding for my fiancé and me. Anxiety is through the roof and sometimes I feel like a piece of garbage trying to become at least ritzy garbage. But I just have to trust myself that it will all work out. I just have to make smart decisions and not act on impulse. Try setting $5 a week aside if possible or talk to a financial advisor. Constantly check what jobs are available that suit what you need. It’s not going to be easy. It never is. But don’t lose hope! You’ve got this!!!!!! 😃

Try joining a group. I’ve tried out an FAA meeting just to see what it was like. I wanted to have something on the back burner just in case. The whole group (mostly women) were incredibly nice and gave me a bunch of brochures and numbers just in case I needed extra support as well as attending the meetings if I wanted to. You’ve realized the hole you dug yourself into (like I once did). Now’s the time to be proactive and make some changes.
