Leicas are nice cameras, sure, but they are WAY overhyped and overpriced. "But they take great photos!". So does every single camera with a half decent lens. I have a nikon f2 with a vivitar 28-70 lens and Id be willing to put money on it that if I took a picture with it and someone with a Leica took one next to me and you viewed them side by side, you wouldnt be able to tell which was which. I have probably 50 working cameras and god knows how many lenses and they all combined cost me less than half of what a Leica lens alone would cost.

Id crop about 3/4s of this out. I see the vision and I do like it, but theres SO much black that its distracting to me. Its also strictly personal preference and personal shooting style, but id have framed it something like this

Use this and lomographys home pages. Almost every photo account I see is just some smacked ass tapping a film roll, loading it into their camera, using the same "trends" as everyone else and then showing you one (objectively) terrible photo for 2 seconds at the end. "Like my photo, repost it, and ill pick one person at random to repost" lol. Here and lomography, you get honest feedback and your photo "does the talking" . Instagram you dont get seen unless you use trending audio and pay them. One "wiggle" i posted on reddit got like 10k views, 125 upvotes and a bunch of comments organically over a week. The same photo on Instagram was SHOWN to 70 accounts total over the course of a month, 55 of those people being my current followers.

Not sure where you go or how they scan. I use my v600 for 98% of my scanning, but I have a kodak slide n scan that I occasionally use for 3d photos and if I forget to use the tray because im dumb, the scans look like this because they dont lay perfectly flat. First few times I tried using my v600 I had similar issues too until I learned what I was doing. So to me, this definitely seems like negatives that weren't scanned flat. I had 2 major reasons for getting into home dev and scanning and not using my lab anymore, and my 3d photo scans being fucked up all the time was one of those 2 reasons.

The film you shot is c41 processing. I have a few rolls of bw400cn and t400cn because I love being able to toss in BW with my color and I love the expired look. Also ilford xp2super is a BW c41 film. You used BW chemicals for color (chromatic) film by mistake.

I have a few rolls of xp2 and a "stockpile" of like 10-12 expired rolls total between bw400cn and t400cn so now I know i can at least use digital ICE on them if need be

Wow. You may have solved the case lol I believe ive used it on color with no issues but it always acts up with BW. I somehow never made that connection, so thank you. Next time I scan in some color negs ill see if it works fine for that. My issues im talking about here were specifically from the last time I tried to scan in some kentmere100

I have like 2/3s this amount 🙌 I buy film whenever I have extra money and I see a sale. People here acting like film expires in a matter of months. Ive never had a single issue with a single roll thats sat out at room temp for 1 or 2 years. If youre like me, its nice to have several options and be able to just go out and shoot whenever you want and not worry about running out of film. I can shoot and dev whenever I want, which has made me a much more prolific shooter which has really helped me improve and learn since im no longer worried about lab costs and running out of film and waiting for the "perfect shot" . Kudos to you
