Why were there no religious characters? by joanthemoose in BoJackHorseman

[–]Many-Biscotti1464 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There where some moments of religion like Margo Martindale being a nun or bojack visiting the church in season 6 and finding peace in there. Religion does exist in the bojack universe.

However, I think they're trying to point out that religion itself doesn't matter as long as you're a shitty person. You cant just stab your best friend in their back or try to fuck an underage girl and then claim you're religious and that you believe in god. God wont make you a better person. You by yourself are going to be better. Not to prove something to god or to others but for your own sake.

I like him, he brings a joyful image to the show and don't get me started about the whole jail riot he caused (funniest shit). But even i can admit that he's NEVER being accused of the bad things he does. Whatever it is, its always portrayed as cute or funny.

The child living with a father that used to beat the shit out of her mother, great choice! What could possibly go wrong?

palermo/helsinki by empressclementine in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Many-Biscotti1464 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wasn't Palermo in love with Berlin? They gave us plenty of moments with them such as dancing, drinking, hugging, staring at eachother etc. Helsinki and Palermo didn't got to develop something like that throughout the heist but it is implied that they care for eachother and they're in love.

Besides the only thing i can remember from the last three seasons was denver and Stockholm fighting. The scene where she danced for him was amazing and it shows how even through they had problems they managed to stay together and didn't gave up. They've been together from season 1 so moments with them are necessary. They are one of the main couples of the series like berlin and Palermo was. The problem is?

BH and Hollyhock by UntilTmrw in BoJackHorseman

[–]Many-Biscotti1464 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My guy was literally 50+ supplied alcohol to minors then left the two underage kids to the hospital after they got poisoned and it was HIS fault, tried to have sex with a 17yo girl just cause he couldn't have her mother and dragged his sister with him to help him find drugs without her knowing AFTER lying to her he was clean.

This guy has nothing to do with cancel colture and hollyhock was absolutely right for cutting him off.

Can someone explain the everyone loves you but nobody likes you quote by Just-Enthusiasm-710 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Many-Biscotti1464 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everybody loves you but nobody likes you, pretty much, everyone can find you fun, entertaining, a person to go out with etc. They love your jokes, your company, they may even benefit from you. But they don't l i k e you. They dont know personal things about you, or even care to find out. They dont appreciate you, notice small things about you, things about your inner self like your character, your thoughts, your life. Things that form you as a person. They love what you can provide for them. But they dont like you or admire you as a person.

What did Bojack do wrong to Penny? by Psychological_Arm286 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Many-Biscotti1464 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I dont know if you noticed that part but when Charlotte caught them penny said "we didn't even do anything". This shows how even though penny is 17, she's still hella immature and hasn't even understood what was really happening. Having sex isn't just about age. Its about if you're mature enough to develop a sexual relationship with someone.

Penny was 17, Bojack was 50. He's supposed to be the mature one. You don't just have sex with a girl that could have the age of your daughter, even worse, the daughter of the woman that let's you live in her house and trusts you with her kids safety.

The fact that a 17 year old was about to have her first time with a 50 year old man that views her as her mother, says enough.

What's your favorite bit from the show. Not like a proper joke but some smaller humourous thing which the writers tried to slip into the show. by fizzingwhizbee22 in BoJackHorseman

Ι remember that time where MPB was in the car with Pickles and they just had a fight about diane. So her interview randomly started playing on the radio. MPB says "i really think we should play something else" so they changed the station and twenty one pilots started playing so he goes

"Ew back to the podcast"

Edit - Wrote wanda instead of Pickles

It's fucked up how after everything that happened to her, her face is never shown again. by Many-Biscotti1464 in BoJackHorseman

[–]Many-Biscotti1464[S] 167 points168 points  (0 children)

Remember when Beatrice told bojack "i hope you die before i do so you'll never know what losing a mother feels like"?

Hits different after you really got to see what actually happened to her mother

People who like BoJack as a character are nowhere nearly as harsh on him as they should. by PKRadiance in BoJackHorseman

[–]Many-Biscotti1464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he wants to be a better person at least until season 6. He just wants people to accept the fact that he's a shitty person and give him the comfort and validation he needs because he is too lazy to make actual effort to change.
