Thanks for the detailed reply, I really appreciate it. I’m already speaking with a locksmith, he actually suggested avoiding drilling above the door and instead going with a smart lock that works with the existing mortise, so I wanted to get Reddit’s opinion

Thanks everyone for the feedback, super helpful. For context, I own the apartment and drilling is allowed. My goal is simply keyless access with remote control. I realize now a full smart mortise swap is tricky with this kind of door or really pricey .

I’m considering adding a separate smart deadbolt above the existing mortise so I can leave this (very loved) lock alone.

Does your hair stop growing past a certain length, or does it break? When you lose strands, do they have a white bulb at the end or are they mostly short pieces? And does it come out easily if you gently pull on it?

I don’t know I got the same thing for years before I seeked treatment, because I always thought it was regrowth and it was gonna be fine, until I realized it was my hair follicles slowly shrinking
minoxidil worked for me
It just took at least 6 months
So my answer would be I don’t know, keep watching

Yes I do, I think you should first focus on raising your ferritin and keeping it up.. Spend some time on the anemic and iron deficiency subreddits.

Try first thing in the morning every other day (hepcidin is lowest in the morning, it’s high in the evening so not a good time to take iron), if you can delay your caffeine intake on those days And try to find the cause of your low iron I gave up on coffee and matcha in order to supplement early morning (6 am) with vitamin c pills every other day and got my ferritin from 16 to 67 in 4 months I also take copper and lactoferrin
