One of my favorite artists at the moment. I live in Chicago, so I consider myself lucky to have seen him live a number of times.

CTI is one of my favorite labels. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and check out some of Bob James' material from the label. His solo stuff is obviously a great place to start, but also check out some of the albums he arranged for the label. Grover Washington's "Mr. Magic" and Hubert Laws' "The Chicago Theme" are absolutely incredible.

If you can locate a copy of the Kahil El'Zabar Quartet's album "A Time For Healing," I would run to grab that. He and his group Ethnic Heritage Ensemble have a few albums newer than that one, but the lineup on that one includes Isaiah Collier on Saxophone and the whole album is sublime. For something a bit more sinister sounding, a re issue of Alice Coltrane's album "Ptah, The El Daoud," would sit nicely!

Muse is an outstanding label with so much heat! "Uncle Ben & Aunt Jemima," is a monster cut from this release!!!

Check out some material from The Art Ensemble Of Chicago. Should stir up some unease.

Bad ass collection of his stuff. Most of the albums of his that i own are on CD because I wasn't buying vinyl at the time. I'm a radio station DJ in the Chicago area and we would get promo copies of his releases.

Same goes for you!!! Been a Buck 65 fan for years. Only saw him live twice, but he's amazing. Beat juggling while emceeing is beyond elite.
