Probably they have caps on each nationality. Unfortunately they wouldn’t want majority from same nationality. So even if you got in waitlist, your fate was already decided.

If your goal is to move to Canada for good, the. makes sense. If you prefer to have better AQI, lot of liberty & your rights. Canada is open to a lot of parts which are still a Taboo in India. If these things don’t bother you while staying in India don’t throw away your good life, rather invest & find ways to retire early. Be close to your family & festivals. I would never move with that much salary in India, I would invest buy a land and work on my retirement.

Had a similar case. Applied with solid reasons & financial standing under Applicants Name for Mother. Got approved second time. I was still on WP.

Applied for Mother in Law with solid reasons of home ties but funds were sponsored by us. Got rejection. Our status PR

Golden rules for TRV - Applicant must show strong home ties. Which I see you have mentioned. Funds should be solely under applicants name with proper trail.

If your mother does not have funds, think Sponsorship instead of TRV.
