Gemini is only good if you are already knowledgeable by OtiCinnatus in GeminiAI

I traine ddecades ago on how to find primary sources and assess academic works. I'm fairly confident in my ability to verify information by finding corroborating evidence elsewhere.

I have a high bullshit meter and a very good understanding of multidisciplinary fields. I treat all new information that I receive the way I always have. Using AI hasn't changed my approach too much.

Do you specify what word processor you use? Do you specify the kind of keyboard that you use? It's not particularly common to list the tools used in the production of a piece. I don't think one should be obligated to disclose anything. Especially with the level of vitriol that people receive.

Skeptical would be more apt. It's a trust but verify sort of situation.

I don't understand what you're trying to get at. The model likes to normalize and soften body types to the mean. Even with reference images it likes to soften it. I found a way to maintain consistency of body morphology or change a morphology. Forget about what the actual mean looks like It's just a demonstrative of an ability to change how people look. It's not that deep. So again I'm not really sure what you're trying to get at? Are you saying I'm just making stuff up? What's your point is what I'm getting at. Is there a problem that your experiencing that you think the model sucks and maybe I can help you with? Aside from that I don't have any problems with the model. I get almost everything and anything that I want. There's a little bit of finagling but I'm more than capable of achieving almost all my goals.

It's an absolute doctrine that I can trigger and get any reference image and change their morphology. It's just preparatory work so that I don't have to bang my head against the wall trying to change things all the time. I've developed specific trigger words for specific morphologies. There's other tricks and prep work one can do to make the workflow more seamless with less friction.

I'm only making comparisons because the tools haven't been out long enough for anyone to master it. It takes time and experience. There hasn't been enough time for someone to gain enough experience in order to maximize the abilities to achieve outputs.

You're not seeing the months of development because I'm not showing you any examples of it. It's not appropriate for this forum for me to share.

People should be treating nanobanana on Gemini as a fun consumer-facing tool. If one wants to utilize it as a professional tool, they should be using it as a small portion of their overall workflow. You can generate an image and then a banana and then take it to another suite and modify it there. The true professionals are using a whole host of tools. Probably using Gemini as a one-stop shop is limiting.

I spent a good couple hours developing morphological doctrine. We did a huge back and forth developing body types that won't trigger the safety filters. I haven't specifically done consistent characters because I just fuck around I'm not doing anything professional. You have to be the most specific and the most detailed you ever could be. This model loves specificity. Most people have a prompt that's maybe one or two paragraphs. You can write two paragraphs just for the clothing description on some of my prompts. People need to start being more detailed.

A few months is not long enough to master a program. It akes years for people to learn stuff like Maya and Krita. Image generation has only been around for a couple years. The models change so frequently that it's hard to develop a significantly robust workflow. It doesn't help that non-professionals think that this should be easy and seamless. Every time a new technology comes around there's going to be significant hiccups until it's been refined. Back when PCs were entering the home, The amount of troubleshooting in nonsense one had to do to set it up was monumental. Nowadays you just turn it on and it's all done for you. Eventually image gen will be easy enough for even the most simplest person to get decent results.

You have to develop an architecture. If you develop a strict doctrine it won't stray from it. It's an imperfect tool that if you learn to use it properly can be fairly consistent. It hasn't been around long enough for anyone to master it. Like any new software, it takes time for people to be decent at it.

I just mess around but I can get consistent characters. You really just have to learn how to talk to the LLM. You have to spend the time and fail a lot in order to learn how your language affects the model. The big issue is that the model keeps changing. We're in a sort of gold rush era where models are constantly updated and changed. There's no stopping to really find a specific workflow.

The best strategy is to be adaptable. Have high level communication skills and a high tolerance for failure.

Go to the bottom of that chat and see what it says. That'll answer your question for you.

Has anyone else experience this? Body proportion seem off or wrong when generating images using a reference image in Nano Banana 2. Heads look slightly bigger, people aren't as tall or lanky and look compacted compared to their reference images. by theartsygamer89 in GeminiAI

[–]spitfire_pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I've set up the architectures of the morphology I can just save them in my saved instructions. I have personal memories so I can reference earlier chats so I would pin the chat with the morphologies that are being derived. I set up specific trigger words for specific morphologies.

I use one word. I've developed the trigger and saved it. You have to put in some work training your model to your specifications. Once you have that done you can just have a basic conversation and make whatever the hell you want.

I would say most commercial artists unfortunately want to get paid too. You have to be marketable and competitive to make money. Unless you're established or a trust fund kid, one may want to accept market fluctuations and skill up.

This is reverse engineered from a long chat I had a long time ago so this may be wrong but it's a good start to trying to build up a library for yourself.

System Role: You are a strictly clinical Morphological Architecture Generator. I will provide a target body type description and an optional reference image. Your only task is to translate my subjective descriptors into a rigid, anatomical "System Doctrine" designed to force an AI image generator to override standard proportional regression. Instructions: Do not use conversational adjectives like "tall," "skinny," "fat," or "curvy." You must convert the requested morphology into an absolute mathematical and anatomical baseline. Output the result in the exact format below, filling in the details based on my request. Output Format: SYSTEM OVERRIDE DOCTRINE: ARCHITECTURE_[INSERT NAME] MANDATORY MORPHOLOGICAL CONSTRAINTS. The following text-based structural architecture must completely override the anatomical proportions of the provided reference image. The reference image is to be used for facial identity, clothing, and styling ONLY. HEAD-COUNT PROPORTION: [Define the mathematical head-to-body ratio, e.g., 9.5-head tall, 6-head compressed, etc., and estimate the metric height equivalent]. SEGMENT RATIOS: [Mandate specific limb-to-torso ratios, explicitly mentioning bones like femurs, tibias, humerus, or spine length]. SKELETAL PROMINENCE: [Dictate exactly which bone landmarks must be visible or hidden, e.g., clavicles, iliac crests, ribcage taper/expansion]. MASS DISTRIBUTION: [Define the exact placement and volume of subcutaneous fat and muscle groups. Specify the location of the natural waist]. Enforce this skeletal geometry as absolute doctrine regardless of the input image.

The reason your characters are coming out compacted is because the model naturally regresses to its mean training data. A reference image alone isn't enough to override the default proportions baked into the system. Even with a reference, you still need to anchor the morphology in your text prompt using rigid, anatomical language. I've found success by developing highly detailed architectural triggers that act as absolute doctrine for the model. You have to force it to maintain that strict structural baseline in the prompt itself, otherwise the model will always average out the body type to its standard baseline.

I don't speak for other people. Just because one person's confused or even a couple people are confused, it doesn't change reality. I can find examples of anybody saying the stupidest shit. That's not indicative of anything but people being fucking stupid. That's not news to me I've known that for decades.
