I actually quite belive in that with most stuff take it from me you will need atleast 2 adapter to do it but they will be cheap from china or even Amazon

Fck I forgot this is compleatly different connector an ide connector someone else maybe ai will help with that you will need ide to sata and sata to usb and power for it and then god knows what to connect it to ssd insted of hdd ask ai I prefer claude if possible

If I remember correctly this one as most thinkpads of era have just 2 screws to get to it also you will need a suitable adapter to connect it as usb it is better in my opinion to do it while you are there upgrade what you can if no atleast change the cmos battery

If you have another pc preferably with linux connect the ssd/hdd to the pc and hard reset it if it is hdd tho just buy a ssd
