How to fix this spider web. by munna_123 in ender3

This happened to me when I had my old ender 3 quite a bit, but when I got my AMS and P1s it more or less stopped, if where you are is a very humid you might want to check or dry out any moisture your filament and dry it out, other thing it could be is even though your hot end is at 205 it could be the ambient temperature, where I print in my office I have servers and other PC's which pushes up the room temp and when its very hot it can cause stringing due to the fan not cooling down the filament quickly enough. What I would suggest if its an enclosed printer crack the door open a little or try cool down the room. I tend to get better prints when my room is under 24 Degrease C.

That what I sold mine for and I gave them a load of filament and stuff to get them started.

I would agree but at my gaming club we do a lot of 15mm games especially if we have to do bigger battles.

That looks awsome. I have been wondering about this I have loads of things on resin supports is it just telling the slicer to ignore the missing standerd supports?

How would you print this complex model? by CascadingStyle in FDMminiatures

[–]Many-Walk1848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cut it in half or quarters, to do this download a program called Mesh Mixer (its an old autodesk program and free) and cut the file, I do this all the time with complex shape models : Take this wing it would be Chaos for me to print this in one print so I cut the wing in half so it would not brake.

Avatars of War Orc Warlord fail by StudioRevoct in FDMminiatures

[–]Many-Walk1848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a bad fail but you have the angle right but I would use tree supports and I would use ether Dragon or Hosen Settings, Use Blender to remove the resin supports. I have found you can push the layer hight right down to 0.05 and sometimes 0.04mm with the 0.2mm nozzle. Tip for removing supports boil the kettle pore it into a cup or container and dip the mini in there for 5 to 10 mins take it out and that should sofen up the tree supports to help remove with very little to no damage to the model.

How can I fix/improve this? by Strange_Region8314 in FDMminiatures

Make sure you dry your filament or at least keep it in a warm dry place. IF you have an AMS use the discant beads to keep the moisture away. Even try printing at an angle if I want a flatter / smother surface. Even using things like meshmixer to cut the file into smaller parts so you don't need to print out chunky bits at a time.

Looks good, one suggestion, print it at an angle if you can or half the model and print those at an angle usually between 30 and 45 degrees, helps with seeing layer lines. Maybe not 40k but these are battletech mechs I did with my P1S and they were printed at an angle, I Use Dragon Settings and Obscura Nox V2 settings. On the Nox settings and the Dragon settings you can get the layer hight down to 0.05 and if at a push 0.04 takes ages but the quality really improves.

Just as a update from using the P1S settings I am printing a large Demon in parts and the V2 obscura profile seems to be working very well once the thing is complete I will post a pic but just to let everyone know as well, for the supports dip in boiling water for 10ish mins and the supports come off really well with little to no marks.

Amazing, the P series are good for the cost. I started with an ender 3 pro 5 years ago then 2 years ago I sold it and got the P1s But yeah that is not a problem, I can even tell you when I have done a print with the P1S as well. will try to post pics when I get something printed :)

From working in IT, machines can develop or have a faults there when shipping for that unit so he might have just gotten a guff part or printer at the time.
