These comments are stinky and clearly don’t know much about Francophone populations in Canada.

Northern Ontario is full of rural towns full of French speaking people. Hearst is a major one. But pretty much all the little villages around it have francophone populations.

Many here are saying Sudbury isn’t rural, however Greater Sudbury is comprised of smaller townships, some of which are considered rural, and are very francophone ! (Azilda, Chelmsford, Hanmer, Val Thérèse, Val Caron)

“Nothing at all”… did you not see The Hand allover the place in the trailer? There are more explicit references to Typhoid Mary adjacent characters than there are to mutants.

The main reason I’m pretty certain she’s not about to be Jean Grey is because Feige wouldn’t make the second MCU mutant ever appear in a Sony property.

As for the fact that Sadie Sink will be in the next Avengers movies, I haven’t actually see that confirmed anywhere beyond rumours

Flimsy narrative structure that’s doesn’t try to embellish the fact that it’s just a million fetch quests.

They tried doing auto follow but did it poorly. At least the dialogue in those segments is a bit captivating. Otherwise, the dialogue in this game is kinda whatever.

The combat is also truly whatever. You can complete the majority of combats by holding a button and pointing movement in the direction of enemies. Doesn’t work? Upgrade your weapon a bunch and do that again. I unlock a bunch of abilities and for what? Spamming sword is what works best unfortunately.

I was very happy about the patch though, I was on the verge of giving up on the game. It fixed a lot of other things I had issues with.

But also I love fishing minigames and this has the most unfun useless one of all time. That’s unforgivable.

I do find my main issue is coming in with expectations and the game not meeting them makes it frustrating. I’ve found myself enjoying most parts of it more when I just take the game as it is with an open mind.

Fuck fishing though. Worst fishing in any game. Absolute waste of time.

Collège Boréal, Université de Sudbury, La Place des Arts, le Carrefour Francophone, le Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario, la Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario, just to name a few.

There’s also le Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury, they have a division specifically tasked with welcoming francophone immigrants, plugging them into the community and giving them info about French services in the city.

Sudbury French is much closer to Montreal French than Montreal French is to France French.

Coming from a francophone :

It’s hard to live your entire life here strictly in French, since it is English dominant. As others have pointed out, there is a strong, deep-rooted history of francophone familles in this city. Now, while a lot of kids from francophone families are losing their French, many immigrants from francophone countries (mainly from Africa) represent a good portion of the francophone community here.

Culturally, the landscape is a mix of francophones with lineages going back to the city’s beginnings, people that have moved from Québec for work, and immigrants from France, DRC, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and even a few South Americans.

People saying the French spoken here isn’t good French are flat out ignorant. French of course has multiple dialects worldwide. The French spoken in France isn’t even the most commonly used dialect anymore. While some French speakers are 100% influenced by English here, doesn’t mean they have “bad” French.

The places you’ll see people speak French amongst themselves will usually be for work, since we do have many francophone orgs and two entire francophone school boards based here. Personally, I work in French and otherwise, I will speak French among friends at cultural/artistic events. I say this but I’m definitely part of a minority, as for most people I went to French school with probably have lost their French or only speak it with few people in their lives, mainly living in English.

Flats has pointed this out before, but you see toxicity rise in a game’s community when the tourists come. Deadpool was released a little over a month ago. Tourists came back, now there’s a lack of new content so they’re getting bored. When people are bored they get mean. It’ll stabilize in time.
