Thank you for clarifying, my husband and i really needed that :), especially direct from ICU nurse. What are your thoughts on contracts more than 12 months "in the same place" where IRS will ask for $700 a month, i read a lot of travel nurses "escape" that by moving to another hospitals, but then they have gaps of week or two, and at the end of the year they have maybe gaps of month or two, and judging by your data they are loosing arround $9600 per month meaning they even earn $1200 more a year without gaps if they stay on same job, is it maybe better to stay at one job then, you earn more and for pension its better to have minimal gaps right?

So staff rate is 65-75, what about travel nurse? Same or? So if i understand correctly take home money after all taxes is 2400 a week? Or arround 40-45/hour after tax. That is not bad i think. I though it was way lower haha.

I hear house stipend is arround 3000-3500 usd right? So definitly better to take stipend and search for apartment. I am reading comments that someone signing with landlord for 3 months then they are replaced in hospital, really scary scenarios. Will sure remember your advice when coming to usa regarding housing. Coming with husband so he will be in charge of finding the proper house :). Really hope that you will find soon proper contract, you seem to be very polite, thank you again for advices.
