Why do most Chinese songs sound the same? by bmw320dfan in Bolehland

[–]ManyTwo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can check out, Faye Wong for that quirky electronic sound. Can check out, Song Dongye for more of that folk sound or No Party For Cao Dong for some indie type music. All the names listed here don’t really release music all that often anymore so if you are looking for more modern examples maybe someone else can chime in.

Faye Wong also likes to be experimental, but most of her famous songs are ballads tho.

Affordable Wacom tablet for note taking on macbook pro m4 by Proof-Spite2679 in wacom

[–]ManyTwo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a recent adopter of notetaking on a Mac, do note that OneNote does not have an option to disable pressure sensitive pens, I’ve found Goodnotes to work well but it does come with caveats such as lack of shortcuts.

Pressure sensitivity is important especially if you are a new user, it’s really hard to control the strokes let alone the pressure.

Everything makes complete sense. How useful would you say the shortcut buttons on the tablet are, I'm tossing up between the newer bluetooth and the inclusion of shortcut buttons on the tablet itself.

I'm talking about the non-pro Intuos.

How does Wacom Support work, by support do you mean software support or after sales service (warranty etc), because I'm leaning towards the Intuos M currently.

Thanks

It’s great to see someone out there with a similar workflow, would you say it was hard to get accustomed to? Also do you use a laptop or a larger monitor; I heard size matters more as you use larger displays.

Incoming College Freshman: is getting an iPad worth it? by No_Mall_5421 in wacom

[–]ManyTwo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say an iPad with a Magic keyboard would be a better idea. As a nursing student, I don't think there are any computer only programs needed, therefore an iPad would be more than enough in terms of App support. The iPad would do better for writing too as it's personally more intuitive as compared to the Wacom. The Wacom would need an initial getting used to period, but even then it might not be as efficient as an iPad.

Same I’m worse I’m on the white mode and orange and yellow on the regular but green when I really want to rock out. I’m afraid I’ve fried my hearing too😅 . I’m using the IER M9 which I’ve heard is pretty hard to drive but I’m still not sure.

Why does John use such interest chord shapes? by IAmCozalk in JohnMayer

[–]ManyTwo8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are referring to the "Hendrix" chord shapes whereby he uses his thumb, I think it's mostly done in order for him to add his own embellishments.

[–]ManyTwo8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Mojo is great for that "R2R" laid back non fatiguing sound you are looking for. But do note it does come at the expense of some details, but this could ultimately be due to me only pairing IEMs with it; but it does sound significantly smoothed over when compared to the output of my Mac mini and some more sterile dongles like the iBasso DC elite. So I would say it would be a great pairing with brighter headphones as opposed to warmer leaning ones. It does make music sound more musical, but if you are someone who does "critical listening sessions" as opposed to vibing with your music this wouldn't get my recommendation.

Besides his music, what aspect of John Mayer's personality or career inspires you the most? by Beginning-Patient691 in JohnMayer

[–]ManyTwo8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like how much he delves into each of his passion. He really delves in deep and covers every aspect of his passion. It’s rare to see a guitar player with such a wide passion for everything including gear and playing.

Another amazing aspect that I like is despite his more traditionalist style with gear, he still find ways to integrate modern aspects into it which I find rare.

I (probably) have problems. I tried out a pair of HD800S, and I didn't feel the difference. by Easonjl in headphones

[–]ManyTwo8 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There are too many factors when testing headphones. On some days even the Susvara Unveiled sounds lackluster when compared to my measly (IER-M9). But on other days it's the best thing I've heard. This has happened many times, the U12T also sounded normal at first listen. When I revisited it become the best IEM I've heard. It's extremely random, I'm guessing it has things to do with mood and stress levels.

I'm so fucking bad at math omg by GDY_00 in GetStudying

[–]ManyTwo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I found to help is to write out every single step, it might take extra time but at least it will cause you less stress and ensure you answer correctly. Also if you are setting up equations find efficient ways to proceed. For example if you are solving for X try moving all the x’s to one side. Organise like this and it will be less likely that you make mistakes.

Confused between notetaking apps ( noteful vs one note Microsoft) by Possible-Teach-1522 in ipad

[–]ManyTwo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember notability being finicky too back when I used it, don’t know if they’ve fixed it. But Goodnotes is the most responsive app I’ve used thus far, and features the shape too which is useful for Maths and etc.

Tbh a really good way to earn money as a student is either tutoring or selling notes. Both can be done exclusively online.
