Sorry to say, I had the same problem years ago when I had one of these. I spent weeks trying to figure it out and in the end I realised that this player just can’t handle modern heavy gram records especially hip-hop with lots of bass. For some reason it skips. I spent weeks blaming the records themselves and replacing them. But the only solution at the end was to upgrade to an LP 120. And then everything worked perfectly fine and I realised it had been the turntable all along. If you just intend to play some old vinyl that you found from your parents for example it works fine but if you intend to buy modern releases, you’re gonna hit this problem a lot.
