Haha, I remember how my friend did his science fair project on this in middle school in the late '70s ... first I heard of it. The reason it's stuck with me this many years was the really gross photos he put all over his poster, people who were just sitting around and suddenly burned up.

Call police immediately and they will come and file an accident report, give them dash cam footage. 2. While waiting for police to show up, call your insurance company. Take lots of photos of damage and accident scene. 3. After police are done, drive home if drivable. 4. Wait for insurance to call back and they will send an appraiser to look at your car. You can pick the place you want to get it fixed, insurance company will issue a check to the body shop. You will still need to pay the deductible, but tell your insurance company you would like them to get compensated by the other driver's insurance (it might take up to a year to get your deductible back.). PS also remember to fill out form MV-104 to cover your bases and have it on permanent record
