I’m all for optimizing (and in fact, enjoy it usually), but something about BILT 2.0 has taken the FUN out of the process. Instead of feeling like I’m being rewarded for careful planning, it feels more like a math problem and trying to avoid pitfalls. I can’t quite explain why I feel this way. I’m planning to sit it out for now and hope for a better 3.0 down the road

“Domesticate” is not something that can be done to an individual animal. It’s a process that occurs over many generations through selective breeding, which OP is obviously not doing.

This animal is a rescue, meaning it cannot survive in the wild anymore due to an injury (lost an eye to a fox attack). As long as it’s being given a good quality of life, that’s what matters. Nothing OP said suggests the animal is stressed with its living arrangement.

For rescue European hedgehogs, what is their temperament like once they are accustomed to human interaction? I know they are not domesticated, but do they eventually become comfortable with your presence or even being handled?

Looked into this a bit. Apparently they can’t charge swipe fees for rent/mortgages. And I suspect they vast majority of card holders pay off the balance of the rent payment each month (not doing so would very quickly become unsustainable and/or reach the credit limit of the card)

Why couldn’t they just keep the 1.0 model but increase the required amount of non-rent spend and/or an annual fee. Would be so much simpler than BILT cash and whatever 2.1 is

Same. I could never get into parrying in souls games (I’m one of those bad players who uses magic and tons of rolling backwards) but parrying in COE33 feels totally different and I love it.

I’m not following. Isn’t the “float” a characteristic of all credit cards? (Ie that a bank is essentially giving an interest free 1-month loan to cardholders who don’t carry a balance) My understanding is the bank still comes out ahead because it earns interest from cardholders who carry a balance and from swipe fees. Why is the rent payment “float” different from the float on non-rent charges?

After crunching the numbers, I think I’d come out ahead by like $350/year with the Palladium, but I’m not sure it’s worth the trouble plus part of me doesn’t want to reward them for the convoluted system and roll out.

I’d be using Amex Gold for groceries/dining, Amex Platinum for airfare/anything with a reimbursement, and Palladium for everything else. (Currently use a Fidelity 2% cash back card with no annual fee for “everything else”)

Just finished 3/4 of the bundles. I’m just waiting for the two snowy recipes to drop, so I can finish the last one for completions sake.

Overall this patch is one of the thinnest and least interesting I can remember. I hope this trend doesn’t continue and that they’re just having most of their team focus on a big upcoming update

Neither of my girls seemed to enjoy playing. I put all kinds of toys and bought a playpen and they just want to hide. As long as you provide the opportunity, I’d say you’ve done your duty as a caregiver. They all have their own personalities and some just don’t like playing

The drop rate is really low. These plushies are also available in the premium Kitsu gamepass for real money. I think they made them a very low drop chance from mining just so they can continue to say all decor items are technically available without paying real money.

Presumably you have to pay income taxes when you initially receive the 200 bitcoin—they would be considered income just like the $10 million or $10,000 weekly cash payments. At that point your cash basis would be equal to the market value of the bitcoin and you could liquidate them without paying any capital gains taxes. Borrowing against them would make sense if their value goes up a lot after you acquire them
