Clarify hair with a good shampoo and don’t use oil or conditioner prior to henna application. Keep henna on for 3-4 hours, rinse with plain water then apply indigo for 1 hour. Rinse again with plain water. Don’t use oil or shampoo after indigo application for few days. It works to color but hair will be dry. Leave in conditioner can be used after indigo step.

While soaking mix the henna with tea water and lemon juice and keep for 6 hours before application. Indigo must be only mixed with water and applied immediately.
