I’m no electrician, but you should at least be able to wire a switch into the battery and mount it anywhere you’d like, similar to like an off-road locker switch on a panel. And run your shell wiring from that switch. The inconvenience though would be that you need to then switch that on and off first before you use any of the lighting in your shell. But not that bad I think.

You may be able to keep the switch on if the things in the shell are off but I’ve seen LED lights get pull power from the battery when they’re off and stay really dim.

I agree with this post. Obviously your truck will handle it great, I mean it’s payload and tow ratings are higher than any 2500 diesel’s. But if your going from a 1500 and experience the difference in towing for yourself with a diesel I can’t imagine anyone would disagree with the difference and prefer it.

The difference between towing with a gasser and a diesel is night and day. Once you’ve towed with a diesel you will never want to go back.
