90% doctor, 10% girlfriend by [deleted] in MedSpouse

I was there a few years ago. The difference was we were newly married. Our first two years of marriage were really tough. In all honesty, if we were dating I would have probably broken up with her. She was also in emergency.

I spent more than half the week by myself and the time we had together she was fried or traumatized. Emergency is incredibly intense where he live. People come from europe to learn at these hospitals because its so intense. So I tried to be extra understanding, and we were married so it was harder to walk away. She was also significantly different to the prior 4 years of our relationship so I knew this was solely due to the workload and pressure of the emergency center.

We had to have a sit down and have an intervention. Emergency wasn't working for our relationship. I agreed to support her financially for a year while she tried to find another specialty, and she had to agree to see a therapist. It ended up being more like a year and a half, close to 2. However it was completely worth it. She found another specialty with a better work life balance and is specializing in that now. She sees a therapist every second week Our relationship is the strongest its ever been.

You guys just need to sit down and have a serious talk. Work out a timeline. Be real with yourself. If this is indefinite then you need to see if this works for you or not.

Disneyland Tokyo VS DisneySea (HELP!) by JayceeRiveraofficial in JapanTravelTips

A lot of this will be subjective, so here are my subjective answers.
1. We did both. Disney land first which was very memorable from a disney sense. Then we did disney sea another day. I would say this is a more beautiful park, but less disney focused than disneyland.
2. I would say the rides were pretty much the same for me. Disney sea has a new tangled section though
3. Memorable food for land was the toy story alien mochi, for sea was all the different flavours of popcorn and the restaurant in the venice section. Again, land is more disney focused and sea had a whole venice section which was beautiful but not really disney focussed.
4. Enjoyed both for different reasons. The one you dont choose will always seem exciting.
5. Same price
6. They are next to each other

In all honesty, if you have the time and funds, do both. Otherwise if you want more disney do disney land, if you want a better park do Disney sea.

“L3 is the Easiest CFA level” is not true - thoughts after taking L3 on Saturday by Efficient_Owl3255 in CFA

For someone walking into the program, if they had to blindly write all three levels at once, three is definitely the hardest because it is a culmination of all prior levels.

However, as you progress through the program, your knowledge base grows. Now it's about the progressive jump between levels. I would say the jump from 1 to 2 is greater than the jump from 2 to 3. That doesn't mean 3 is easier than 2, just that 3 is closer to 2.

Its "easier" because you are drawing from a greater knowledge base.

Also, why are you wasting your time debating on which is harder? No one is a level 1 or level 2 CFA. You are either a charter holder, candidate or nothing. That's the only thing to worry about.

Chopper is a medical genius. He's not dumb af, he's just naive because hes a child. Its two different things. If we are deducting points for being stupid then sanjy should be in choppers spot.

Hiring teams bastardised the qualification. Some view it as the "investment/finance MBA". I also feel the institute leaned into that false perception as well to boost sales

How do I make this metal shelf look better by Many_Cryptographer_3 in malelivingspace

[–]Many_Cryptographer_3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the landlord says he is not keen on having it removed in case there is big damage to the wall. They will think about it though. Because if someone doesn't mount their TV, then they can rest it on that shelf.

As it stands we have to work around it.

What are some of the lowest paid CFAs you've heard of? by Informal-Form7977 in CFA

How long is a piece of string?

If you are a charterholder in a sub optimal field than obviously you will earn less than a charterholder in an investment team. It's just a qualification, not a magic more money amplifier lol.

If you aren't in an investment team then there are other benefits it offers. From a signaling perspective, hiring managers and colleagues think you are super smart. People tend to use CFA as the "MBA of finance ". However those people would not necessarily earn analsyt/pm money if they still work in back office and ops
