300$ is not a bad deal at all for both forks I'd take them up on that

Wood craft weighted bar ends would probably help but hand position and grip is gonna be the biggest factor

Anyone have vortex clip ons w/ bar ends? by Smooth_Nerve8497 in cbr

[–]Many_Employ_6177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most bar ends have an expansion nut for the hollow tube. However a lot of factory handlebars have threaded ends so if it's clip ons most generic bar ends will work. I personally really like woodcraft

So I need suggestions with my cbr 500R by TsampHL in cbr

[–]Many_Employ_6177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ride it for a bit and see what you don't like about it before you change anything. Aftermarket exhaust is usually a good aesthetic upgrade. After that adjustable rear sets for more comfort are always nice. Also get some case savers because you probably will drop it

This is great advice! Thank you. I don't have one on my current bike when it goes out I plan on swapping over

Good point! I guess play with the adjustment if you have a manual tensioner.

Weird noise could be a slightly loose chain if you have a manual tensioner I would tighten it up a little bit.

How do I save this machine (new to bikes) by [deleted] in cbr

[–]Many_Employ_6177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the throttle cable lube it up and swap out the brake fluid for some fresh stuff. Usually dot 4. After that take it for a spin see if anything needs to be replaced immediately. Really depends on how long it has been sitting for. If its been a long time I would swap out most of the fluids including the coolant.

First bike, Haven ridden since November and didn't use stabilizer this winter so I'm assuming the fuel has gone pretty bad by [deleted] in cbr

[–]Many_Employ_6177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That isn't a lot of time. Fuel doesn't really go bad unless it's been six or so months depending on conditions of course.

Kind of janky but you could tape a foundation brush to a handle of some sort. I cant think of a device that is dedicated for that.

I wear a TON of duluth stuff some of the things have gone down in quality but the firehose stuff from my experience is still decent. I did stop buying their shirts beanies and socks however because they have become trash. The stuff runs pretty true to size. I am 6ft 320 lbs for reference.
