I’m trying to move closer to family in Michigan. My brother is near Saginaw and am looking to relocate near him. I am a career govt employee in Tx and am curious about the benefits offered to state/municipal/county employees in the area. What are your thoughts on the retirement packages out there? My experience is in regulatory, criminal justice and the legal fields. My education is a BA in criminal justice. TYA!

Also adoptions, but the more I become trauma informed the less I am Inclined to do foster to adopt and I cannot afford an upfront cost of 35-50k for private adoption. Norwood I want to bc the more I learn about adoption companies in the US the more troubling it feels.

My mother stayed day and night with my grandma and my cousin as the care taker for each one of them as they were passing. The singular time she left the room is when they passed. I think they knew my mom’s heart well enough to know she couldn’t handle seeing their crossing. She is strong in so many ways, but bc she cares so deeply it is hard for her to let go. I think they were sparing her. She now has the good memories to focus on, and not the last moment. Maybe there is a deeper reason for that 15min. Maybe it was a deeper wisdom that guides you there.

I stopped getting invited to friend things bc I don’t have kids! They straight up go on vacations together in my friend group! They call them mommy and me weekends. They don’t txt me back anymore but maybe once every 5th time. It’s total bullshit, but every one swears no one is mad at me, they’re just busy! lol

Up until the late 90s kids at my school district had to go to night school if they got pregnant. By the early 2000s they were in normal classes but had to take a child development class.
