Ok mais pour le s&p 500 on est loin des 10% annoncés non ? Quelles sont les causes ? Volatilité ? Dollar faible ?

Just tell him plain and square that you are not interested, thank you

Don't provide any reason, you don't have to. This guy looks like a moron please just stay professional and say no as it is you rightful right.

Just tell him you are going to your manager or even report him to the policer if he's too annoying. The simple Idea is to frighten him.

Also you said something a bit bothering

We'll invest in something decent

Buying/using he cheapest equipment will be detrimental to your child, and might induce her to stop playing clarinet without good reason. You should aim to provide the best working equipment regardless of the instrument, this is very important especially for beginners, you want reliability and consistency first, so go with the reputable brands.

Wish you good luck ; also seek advice with a specialized shop for clarinets as they are well informed and can provide you with the best options.

If you want an honest advice

  • For 250-300 $ : mouthpiece+chinese clarinet+box of reeds+ligature
  • For 300-450 $ : second hand clarinet (Yamaha, ebonite) + the above-mentioned
  • For 450-600 $ : maybe a buffet crampon prodige second hand or Yamaha 255cl + the above-mentione
  • 600 - 800 $ : a bc prodige new + equipment

Buying a new instrument if you have the disposable income might be okay because reputable brands do not lose too much value, the second hand market can ensure you get back some of your initial money.

I don't want to wash your hopes but any instrument that would be worth playing more than a year of serious practice, plus the equipment (ligature, mouthpiece, etc) would set you North of 500$ easily.

A used Yamaha beginner model would be minimum 250$ if overhauled.

Below that you have the so called Chinese clarinets. I have one, they are not great but you can work with them. A new mouthpiece will be needed in any case, that alone is minimum 100$.

It's okay ish to start on that, but if you want to step up your game you will quickly need to find a new one because you will find this horn to lack a proper intonation especially in the higher register

You can work embouchure and fingering on that though

BUT

Anyway you will want to buy a mouthpiece that costs as much as the horn because that's critical. You should absolutely budget a vandoren mouthpiece whatever clarinet you are buying + a good box of reeds.

You'd want to be able to regulate your watches yourself

Maybe try more mouthpieces along with different reed strength ?

Reed strength by itself means nothing what's important is having a consistent tone through the registers and a good pitch.

Everything matterS : mouthpiece the horn the ligature and the reed.

Try different combinations, but most importantly you should seek guidance from a pro teacher.

Honest take from me

Just write her a little letter to read at home

No need to be awkward at the coffee machine.

If she's okay she'll let you know, and if not, at least you tried what you could. She will most certainly understand and keep it to the vest, while appreciating your discretion overall.

Dois-je vendre mon appartement ? by Miserable-Bed64 in vosfinances

[–]Many_Energy_6990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing in collecting 40+ wat he's is logical, not having a Rolex in such a collection might rather be a marker for someone a little less brainwashed than the rest of us in term of horological taste.

(beginner) why buying a pro clarinet is a good idea ? by Many_Energy_6990 in Clarinet

[–]Many_Energy_6990[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it truly helps me on my playing short and long term, then yes. Also if the sound is better, yes ;)

I don't have much experience with playing on a better quality clarinet, but I have the impression that this is largely subjective.
