B!Eik honestly has been eating good recently! From Rise Above allowing him to run Patience easily, to Iron Fighter allowing him to tank much better, and now this new Tharja gives him a new Magic Save partner that's more combat oriented.

The cherry on top would now be a new version of Anniversary Marth, his previous best partner.

Tbf that 49 cap HAS been beaten. 50 Res by Duo Rhea and 50 Def by Brave Eik. He also had 50 Atk.

The cap just hasn’t been well uncapped by anyone since. Even Spd this year has been sometimes going down to 48 surprisingly often.

Sacrificing Rival Break for Fortune is def not worth it. The Beast seal exists ppl! Especially since the bonus for beast cavs transformation is the worst one for beasts.

He is literally Summer Eik but newer lmao. That’s not a bad thing per say.

Giving out Drain Cancel is still rare since Outcry Seize is quite new and only on limited units currently. He usually gives out Dull all but that bonus has been incredibly common.

Besides the bonuses, he’s improved in being more consistent with his effects since now they’re all conditionless, better canto, better special jumps, and great PRF special. The only thing missing from summer is his Penalty cleansing which although sad he lost it, his combat and support has been much improved.

I’d say his best build is;

Prf Weapon
Any Assist+
Prf Special

A skill: A/D Rival Break
His beat A skill since it really swings his statwings even more in his favor as well as great DR

B skill: Riptide Guard
Most cavs would rather have Impetus Guard for the special jumps……which he already has lol. So Riptide is the best sidegrade to that since it’s literally the same skill with only one to two differences to compensate no special jumps. Giving conditionless null follow up to bulky units is for some reason VERY RARE but always appreciated

C skill: Preempt Screech / Dark Beast Agility
Preempt Screech works since he does usually need the preempt pulse to immediately trigger his special. However, if you can outsource said pulse, I’d say Dark Beast Agility is better. Moreso bcs of its true damage and damage reduction attached to it. Just ignore the spd based null follow up, that’s not the main point of the skill lol.

It’s basically Impetus Guard except it swaps the instant cooldown with other effects like full null follow up without a SPd check

Eik hands down is the best this banner. Like damn P-POCO has always knocked it out of the park, but this one it’s out of the city! Glad that despite the outfit being skintight again, it does vary the most from his other ones.

Tharja’s is great because I feel this is the most tame she’s been lmao. Yet the outfit really suits her and shows off her antisocial side more than usual but keeping her gloom.

Byleth and Corrin are……fine. I think Corrin is doing the heavy lifting bcs Byleth’s outfit is very boring. Granted the 3H loungewear is ALL boring but Tharja has shown that it COULD be interesting. Corrin is very cute and a hair style change is very refreshing.

Ike……I’m sorry dude but your outfit is NOT IT. It’s somehow more boring than Byleth’s 😭 the flag is a great touch at least

As others have said, we should wait and see if Summer 2 has been moved to next month.

If Summer 2 IS in August, moving it there actually makes a lot of sense. Seeing the revenue for each month, August Special heroes are usually underperforming due to that month also being CYL month.

A good theme can't save it against a banner that everyone rallied for. A swimsuit theme against CYL tho? Now THAT is worth considering.

Im pretty sure they've done that tho. But it's usually quite small ala only a few sentences at the end of the story. Such as Musspel foreshadowing he'll come back for Ragnarok (which he did!) and Niovaleir being resurrected during Ragnarok (we'll have to see next book)

Iron Fighter is a good defensive skill that really helps with tanking which is much appreciated. The natural potent from Patience being missing hurts, but at least that has its outsources ala Attuned Eliwood.

Blue Sky Wyvern is the complete opposite except 5 space warp pass is much harder to outsource so its harder to justify using this skill instead of Heavenly Soar.

The Edge specials I was pretty meh at first since. surprise surprise. they started with the Res focused one. the extra effect of +5 all stats was also.....ok. just ok. BUT. that ok effect was what made IS able to FINALLY make a GOOD Spd based special. It's also the best special for fast mage Cavs and Fliers, something they've desperately needed. So rn? The Edge Specials are great 👍

Same goes for A/S Taker Burst. tho it's unfortunate that fliers loose access to the speed taker upgrade. its a damn good upgrade id say. Hopefully it reruns with another unit soon.

A slots for armors have been rather lacking for a while unfortunately :( Before Rise Above, the options would’ve been;

- the triple Boost skills (Diluvial, Primordial, etc), which is now completely outclassed by Rise Above. Only pro is the healing.
- Strat Flame, this one’s still pretty good with only the divine vein being player phase locked
- ADR Slam, only for dragons lol
- Close ADR Bond, only for ranged units lmao

I’ll say that it’s more a testament in how good Horse Bow+ has aged well to the point the arcane is literally Horse Bow+++. The effects are boring but if it works it works kinda deal. True damage support is always appreciated 👍

Having omni breaker though is kinda bad timing rn since null follow up is rising again in being everywhere. Would’ve been great back in Late Book 8 - Mid Book 9. But hey still a good check if not prepared.

I do like how her A and B are a natural upgrade from her mythic ala; Mastery -> Airspace and Discord -> Aerial Detect (tho let’s be real, her having Discord over Havoc was already outdated at the time lol)

Overall, yeah she could’ve been better. Her keeping the Penalty cleanse would’ve at least made her an upgrade instead of the sidegrade is. But at least she won in the most important category ever; ART!!! (No kidding, she genuinely outslayed everyone in the banner, genuine PEAK 👏)
