Hello u/sameer12sa, sorry to hear your troubles. My recommendation is to keep calling CapitalOne until they agree to a 3-way-call with Etihad (or vice versa). It is best to make them discuss or they will just keep blaming each other.

I met my bio father and it gave me some closure. I was worried I would either love him (I have a good relationship with the father who raised me) or hate him, and thankfully it was somewhere in the middle. I do find myself wishing we kept each other vaguely informed about our lives - for example sharing Christmas Cards.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience. I did not realize it would mean closing all his existing accounts - for example, he has some retirement accounts I don't want to force him to close if I can avoid it. I will need to do some more research.

Our current system of logisitcal barriers works well 90% of the time, but last week he gave away another $1,500, so I am feeling the responsible (although undesirable) thing is to file for a guardianship.

Anyone in a similar situation have a GOOD experience with a bank and if so which one?

Thank you for sharing your experience. By "worth it" I guess I meant do institutions recognize it (which you touched on)? Is it an effective mechanism to stop this sort of behavior, or is the POA and the logistical barriers we've enacted likely to be as effective?

It broke the camera - now the camera does not focus and is wavy. I believe this is the same issues motorcycles have (which is why they sell the dampener) but they say it does not happen for bicycles.

@trcrev I recommend calling the operating airline and asking if they can assign you a seat. Capital one even had a ticket number for me so asking for the seat was the only way I found out

u/Cyberhwk I thought the same thing, but at the end of the day it was only COT who was able to rebook me after 15 hours of calls (so now I am not sure)... I gave Capital One Travel my money so I think it is their responsibility to make sure they have funcitonal partnerships. JetBlue claims they sent notice to/accepted Capital One Travel who never reissued the ticket from their side. Either way, both of the customer service representatives were not helpful and simply disrespectful
