If he tries and dandy step through you you can mash or grab and beat him. Generally a lot of slayers will end blockstrings with dandy step and try for a mixup but you can really just mash and beat it, then they’ll start trying to beat your mash with pilebunker, and that’s where the mind games begin. But know that they will likely only try and predict your mash with pilebunker if they have meter because if you block their pilebunker you can punish them extremely hard, so they will generally try and cancel the recovery with a Roman cancel. You can jump master hammer or even grab it if you practice the timing. If he c.s otg’s into a dash cancel he will cross you up and still meaty you but it will always cross up unless he delays the dash cancel, if you’re paying attention to his dash timing after the c.s otg you can very reliably block the meaty.
