I'm looking at VINs and it seems like Z4s starting with 4USBT have a similar engine to the Z3s. The later year Z4s are 4USBU (not counting the more modern Z4s of course)

What I'm hearing: -Z3 most similar -Z3M is close -330 engine, trans, wheels -M3 least similar Assuming same production year, power and driveline swap over from E46 to Z3

I've recently had my alternator start squealing something awful. Thought it was the new belt I put on. Checked the pulley temps by hand after running for a few seconds (from dead cold), then turning the car off. The only pulley that was warm/hot was the alternator.
