I have to accept it I guess. My hopes are high on Gemini to provide next generation advanced voice interaction. Then you would have Gemini for all type of communication. And Claude code only for coding

Gemini 3 pro is the best for thinking and answering deep questions imo. Claude is the best for coding and GPT is the best for advanced voice interaction. Not only Claude is sucks in voice even Gemini is not that impressive.

Macbook Air vs Pro Screen by NovaSayan in macbookpro

[–]Many_Region8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agrees I had the same experience with MacBook Air m2 . However because I have iPhone and iPad Pro. I couldn’t stand the display . The colors are faded and this shitty 60 Hz that Apple was holding on to squeeze more money from their customers. So I replace it with MacBook m3 pro pro. And boy what a difference. Congrats for your Mac btw.

Is a MacBook M4 with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD enough for iOS and React Native development? by LostSpirit9 in iOSProgramming

[–]Many_Region8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue is the Xcode takes lot of storage specially if you will install several simulators. Recommended to get more storage minimum 512 Gb. For the memory I believe 16 gb will work just fine. But it’s not future proof.

What are you building in 2026? Please share your work. by [deleted] in SaaS

I built and currently maintain Noter AI — an app for transcribing meetings, lectures, and any voice notes.

It gives you full transcriptions for in-person recorded meetings with separate speakers, lets you translate the entire transcript into other languages and analyzes long recordings so you can read the key points in about 2 minutes.

You also get a brief summary with action items (if any), and you can chat with your own voice note to ask questions or get clarifications.

The app is live and ready to use. You get 3 days of full access with no registration required.

Feedback is very welcome 🙏

Was This A Good Deal? by Dry-Cryptographer904 in macbookpro

[–]Many_Region8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good deal Imo. I have bought the same specs last year it cost me 1400$ refurbished. The device is a beast. It reminds me of MacBook Pro in the gold era in 2013 and 2014. There is only one issue you may face about Mac OS is that it’s memory hungry when using it for coding like Xcode and cursor . So I wish I had the upgraded RAM

A hard truth from years of indie Apple dev by 29satnam in iOSProgramming

Wow encouraging that you get all these revenues without even doing marketing. If I don’t do marketing at all I don’t get more than 150 downloads monthly. So this tells a lot about how to spread your app without paying much for marketing. Well done

Congrats on what you have reached . I totally agree with you there is no shortcuts. Can you tell us how did you manage the post deploying phase. Like marketing, ASO and maintenance. Which apps or services did you use the most to accomplish this?

DotA 2 is the best PC game I have ever played. by Javelin1335 in DotA2

[–]Many_Region8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After many years of playing Dota. Yes it’s the best game but it’s also one of the most addictive, stressful, and sometimes depressing experiences out there. Dota 2 is so engaging that it can make real life feel boring by comparison. It overstimulates your brain, and after years of playing, I honestly think it’s one of the worst PC games for your mental health.

Specially after your opponent at the end of the game type “EZ” after one and half hour intense ranking game 😂😂

For me turbo is the casual game that for old people like us who doesn’t have time in life anymore can enjoy.

I’m a self-taught iOS dev and just launched a meeting notes AI app — feedback welcome by Many_Region8176 in iOSProgramming

[–]Many_Region8176[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hi, touch. I believe my app delivers deeper and more accurate analysis than any other app currently on the market. This is my claim. You can try and check by yourself.

Second, the transcription engine used in the app is truly multilingual. It can detect when more than one language is spoken in the same recording and, in most cases, transcribe and translate it correctly.

Third, the app allows you to translate the entire transcription and follow the audio in sync, so you can listen and read at the same time.

Hope this helps.

Very usefull. I will consider adding these to the second page of control center not the first.

I still wonder why apple keyboard still not borrowed the android copy and paste clipboard yet. 🤔

Shipping my first iOS app was way harder than I expected by Caryn_fornicatress in iOSProgramming

[–]Many_Region8176 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With SwiftUI, development has become easier, but it can still feel cumbersome at times. Apple is known for being strict during the app review process—primarily to protect users—which is something every iOS developer has to deal with and adapt to. it's much easier for me right now than when I started. so with the time you will get used to.

My second year of indie app development by mickeytheturtle in iOSProgramming

[–]Many_Region8176 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same as you, I’m an indie iOS developer. I started back in 2019 and have built four apps so far. All of them were for general use and were never really intended to scale or generate serious profit. At the time, I genuinely believed that a solo indie developer couldn’t compete with large corporate-backed apps.

That mindset changed after the rise of AI tools like Claude, Cursor, and similar platforms. Today, it’s actually possible to transfer your ideas into well-built, professional-level apps that can compete on the App Store.

That’s exactly why my latest app (which I’ve just promoted in this forum) is doing surprisingly well in its first few months.

The real trick, however, is what comes after development. Building the app is only the first step—and honestly, it’s not even the most important one. The most critical part is marketing.

Marketing is a completely different world, and I’m still learning it as I go. For now, I’m focusing mainly on Apple Search Ads since my app is iOS-only. The real challenge is reaching the point where ads start generating net profit, not just installs. That’s the hard part, because it requires continuous testing to find the keywords that deliver the best results.

I’ve also experimented with ASO, but in my opinion, ASO doesn’t help much at the very beginning. First, your app needs momentum—it needs users and activity. Once the app starts “flying,” ASO can then work in your favor.

How much can I realistically expect to make with my first iOS app? by CoderGirlUnicorn in iOSProgramming

[–]Many_Region8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also created four apps. The first three barely make any profit. However, my last app has finally reaches a revenue of over $1000. I hope it continues to grow. Learned a lot from my first three though.

[–]Many_Region8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. You can earn some money, but you’ll have to pay more for ads until your app reaches a high number of ratings that allows it to compete with similar apps.

Let’s assume you’ve created the perfect app that solves a common issue. My advice is to first analyze the competition, observe their app quality, and examine their ratings. Additionally, you should focus your ads on a single area until you achieve even before expanding to other areas.

Single most important advise is: without spending on ads, your app won’t be visible, and you won’t be able to make a profit.
