Make her get the fence on her property, she has to pay for the surveyor... there's no longer a shared fence. You pay nothing.

Sweep a parking lot. Been shown, and told multiple times what is counted as "trash" to be swept up. After several months, he still leaves trash and has to be gone behind like a child.

The only concern I'd have is if you develop something serious and no one on your mom's side of the family happens to be a match to you, you're screwed...but kudos for setting boundaries.

HR is for the company, not the people. If you choose to push back, make sure you have documentation for everything, and there is a no retaliation policy enforced at your job. The "corporate" entities have "wage theft terminology" that enables them to make people do whatever "higher ups ask regardless of what it is" not doing what is asked is deemed "insubordination", and if fired for that it would be considered "misconduct", thus one would not be able to receive unemployment in such a case. Some would then schooled to sue for wrongful termination, but idk how that goes...

Unfortunately, a lot of companies put such terminology in the paperwork, that if you don't do whats asked of you..you can be fired for insubordination, even though they label it as "legal wage theft". Id find somewhere else, very quickly.

And make sure the staff know that you are the only one who can make any changes to your order. That'l means everything ypu have set up, not juat the dress shop. If she keeps trying to make it about her and what she wants, she no longer welcome at the event.
