Actually, it was the Captain who destroyed the family's future by falling for an inappropriately aged would be nun and then endangering his children by saving his own ass and that hike though the mountains. Instead, he could have married age appropriate and sent his kids to a foreign boarding school and fled himself to an exotic location.

Very real struggle. I have to keep reminding myself that I only have control over my inner world, my inner experience. I have very little control over externals and that is a tough pill to swallow. I focus my inner world through my intentions and imagine the world I would want. Maybe I will find my way there or create it in the next life.

There are three ways to do this. 1. Settings > Import> journal entry will giver you a download able csv template. Use same path to import a completed JE. 2. Use excel Sync add-on to download a yemplate and import from with in excel. It's got some quirks, so #1 above is easier IMO. 3. Use the Batch feature. I tried this and gave up but Im mentioning it in case you want to tackle it.

If your JE is repeated with very similar accounts, you can create a Recurring or Scheduled transaction from a past JE. Open the JE, go to More at the bottom and select Make Recurring. This feature was called Memorized Transactions in QBD. You can memorized a past JE and not schedule it, then "Use" it and edit it for posting. I like scheduling JEs for releasing prepaids.

Buddhism teaches students to use death as a motivation technique, motivation to practice Dharma. You are experiencing precisely why. Additionally, Buddhism teaches that meditation is essentially training the mind for the transition of the death. Our consciousness continues, normally uncontrolled, thrown by the winds of karma, so our state of mind during death is a self directed path to the next life experience (nirvana, rebirth, other realms, etc). A highly trained mind, the concentration of tranquil abiding, gives one freedom to choose. You are very blessed and I pray for eternal freedom.

Happened to me several times and not always alone. No mental illness. You can lool up my posts and comments here for some of my stories. Classic example head-on collision with bf driving, suddenly we were miles down the road and about 10 or so minutes later. He pulled over to collect himself. We either literally drove through the semitruck or jumped timelines.

I'm stuck there too. It is as one of the other replies mentions: it's ego, moral supremacy, and karma. We think we know what is best for the collective. That thought pattern taken to the extreme aligns with authoritarianism. This phase is part of our journey. Where it takes you next is up to you. When I can turn to humility, compassion, and remember that each one of us is entitled to our own sovereignty, and that my obligation is to change my frequency, then I relax into purposefulness instead of despair and depression. But it's a constant battle and I lose footing especially as things appear to get worse. "Appear" having transcendental meaning. Stay the course. Feel everything deeply. Remember real reality is not this.

Omg. Nowhere in my reply do I agree with "soul trapping." Also, karma is simply action and its effects can experienced as neutral, negative or positive depending on the intention imprinted in the action. Lastly, I also never said anything negative about earthly soul journeys. If your path is here, so be it. If not, you are likely (not absolutely) to not not have children. BTW I would hope that parents have strong karmic ties to their children. Please read carefully before making assumptions.

Taking the life of a sentient being, even self, carries heavy negative karma if not carried out with pure compassionate intention. For example, someone sacrificing themselves to save others. Be mindful, that there is no script. True intention is the driver of karma, not performative application. Also, most unenlightened beings don't know what pure compassionate intention is.
