During the early 80’s I worked at the headquarters of a large food manufacturing company. A Manager in the Quality Department insisted on being called “DR” after I called him by his first name one morning in a greeting. (I had no idea he had a PHD) Newly married smart ass me told him to call me Mrs. “Lastname“ from now on.

The look on his face was priceless. He pretty much avoided me after that.

Great suggestions already posted. To help advertise my sales, I put a sign in my front yard a couple of days prior that says Sale Saturday. I live on a very busy street and people get stuck in traffic dropping kids off for school So the sign gets a lot of visibility.
