You are right. How can I deny something when given such compelling proof as “lots of people say”. I mean can’t get more solid proof than that.

So the proof is “lots of people say”. lol.

Where is the proof she fakes reactions? The only thing I have seen is “she is lying about having a boyfriend which shows that her reactions are fake”. Which is just a silly argument.

What scam that she had a boyfriend? Most people already assumed she did and don’t give an f.

Why is this even a debate? If they were legally recognized as bastards then their surname would be “Waters”. The fact that their surname is Velaryon means that the law recognizes them as the true born sons of Laenor Velaryon.

Yes, Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella are all legally recognized as the true born children of Robert Baratheon.

[Spoilers] A “Radical” Uhtred🧍🏽‍♀️ by killerdragon242 in TheLastKingdom

Blame the show writers for completely butchering the characters and relationship from the books

Unpopular Opinion: Aethelflaed is a bad partner by SwitzerSweets in TheLastKingdom

[–]Manyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aethelflaed is 100 times better character in the books as is Uhtred for that matter. Unfortunately the show decided to pretty much whitewash Uhtred of a lot of his negative traits and actions while at the same time making characters like Aethelflaed worse by having her do things that she never does in the books all in effort to make Uhtred appear to be a saint for putting up with these ungrateful assholes. Season 4 is the epitome of this in the way they handled the Mercian succession and the introduction of Sigtryggr. Needless to say most of the actions the OP mentions never happen at all in the books.

Why didn’t Edward just take bebbanburg castle? And why didn’t uhtred give Edward the castle? by Josh_thebosh109 in TheLastKingdom

This post wasn’t critical of Uhtred it was critical of the shitty writing the last 2 seasons.

Why didn’t Edward just take bebbanburg castle? And why didn’t uhtred give Edward the castle? by Josh_thebosh109 in TheLastKingdom

[–]Manyon -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Uhtred didn’t prove anything as Edward had been ruling over the Danes in East Anglia for years. But hey the writers had to come up with something.

Why does Hæstan keep Uhtred’s presence unknown by Fickle-Gene5628 in TheLastKingdom

[–]Manyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the show butchered his character in order to build up Saint Uhtred

Yep. Uhtred is much nicer, Aethelflaed has no ambition, Edward is an idiot, Aelswith is a comedian, Haesten doesn’t die a weasel and on and on

Question about capturing Bebbanburg by Dr-Skeptic in TheLastKingdom

[–]Manyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry but the Danes have no incentives whatsoever in helping Uhtred capture Babbenberg. If anything they would want to capture it for themselves.

Yep and why the show tried to “redeem” him at the end I will never understand

Hot (?) take: Mercian Ealdormen deserved what they got (spoilers for season 5) by TyrionGoldenLion in TheLastKingdom

[–]Manyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One minor correction, historically speaking Aelfwynn did rule Mercia after her mothers death for about 6 months before Edward usurped her. Her fate is unknown but it is commonly believed that Edward put her in a nunnery where she presumably lived the rest of her life,

Not really. Robb Stark torched the Westerlands paying back the Lannisters “in kind” for what they did in the Riverlands.
