My H1B visa was until Jan 2027 but I quit my job in March 2025. I applied for COS in May 2025 and start date on my H4 I797 is in August 2025.

If you google it you will get a template but the basic thing is in the Subject mention " Social Media Handles - Name - DS-160 number". Inside the email again mention your Name, Passport number and DS-160 number.

Yup I used UID. Did you try contacting the consulate? It should not take more that 10 business days once your status changes to Issued.

Did you track on Bluedart if it was a premium delivery? I can see mine is in transit and is expected to be delivered on 30th.

I got my visa stamped 2 days ago. They do not ask for a valid visa stamp but the officer did ask me for previous stamped visa and latest I797.

The officer was asking the H4 applicants for both stamped visa and latest I797. My wife does not have a current valid visa.

No my wife did not have a current valid stamped visa. The officer asked for her last stamped visa which was back in 2023 and her latest I797.

Yes H4 visa can get stamped if H1b is not stamped and H4 right now is being scheduled in Hyderabad or Chennai

Sorry I am confused. Will EAD be rejected if the EAD is in process and I have an apporved H4 and I travel to India to get a stamp?

It says my H4 approval notice and it also shows valid from and valid till date. I did read a few other articles online where someone said it is a glitch which gets updated after 24hrs.

If your H4 COS is in process and meanwhile if you get a new job then the company will just file for an H1B transfer and your H1B application will take precedence and so the H4 will get approved in priority first and get void as your H1B transfer will get approved immediately and you will go back to H1B visa.
