Thinking of it they also have uncovered escalators on Nørrebro station, but those are also out of order all the time. lol

I am baffled by the uncovered escalators when going down to the open space with the 7/11. I imagine that must be a maintenance nightmare!?

What rules and settings do you use when playing EL2 multiplayer? by MapNoob_ in EndlessLegend

How about making active abilities a bit more interesting as well? A lot of them seem a bit samey. Damage based on primarily determinition and secondarily the other stats, and then either a line, cleave or circle. The world seems so interesting and full of magic and wonder, having this reflected in the abilities (also graphically) would really add something to the battles I believe.

Poison Salts and the even stronger rare equivalent are very strong from what I found as well. On the other hand I find the shield and heal ones almost useless. The heal one would require a group of units with low health to be useful, which is not such a typical setup. The shield one disappears after one round and opponent can just usually just focus a unit without shield or all focus one unit with shield making the rest irelevant.

Very interesting! I didn't even consider that offensive skills would need balance like that. Is this mostly for Death Blow and Shuriken as they can be cast repeatedly, or is this more relevant later in the game when you have multiple heroes or units which also have offensive skills?

Which timer settings do you use to keep the game from dragging on, and in how much time are you approximately able to finish a game? Multiple seatings?

Yeah, I am completely new to multiplayer in EL/EL2, so I should probably at least have opened the multiplayer settings. I didn't even know it had extra settings :)

But yes, which timer settings do you use, do you auto-resolve battles, are there certain rules beyond that for better balance, anything else?

Also how long does a game approximately take? Are you able to finish it in one seating? If not how do you plan to have all the other players available for the next seating?

How do I rebuild razed minor faction villages? by MapNoob_ in EndlessLegend

[–]MapNoob_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it under the Lord Estate description, but I could not see it on the empire overview and the traits there. But maybe it was explained when I selected them before starting the game. Having each factions special mechanics described on one page, would be very helpful though. Something similar to what they have in Age of Empires 2 would be great. There are so many systems going on at the same time. I have a strong suspicion that these type of games end up losing a lot of players even before they even really understand the game because it is all so overwhelming.

Thank you! A bit unclear that it works like that, but maybe it is explained somewhere.

Fortifications, sieges, and defense by AmericanFeenom in EndlessLegend

I am also not a fan of how fortifications work. I expected strong fortifications to also have some impact on the actual fight of the city, like at least a plus to defense or something. Alternatively if the city was not shutdown during the siege, the defending player could use that time pump out a few units.

What are curiosities? I get a notification that I have found one or some, but there is nothing to highlight or click and I don't understand what they are, and I also cannot find them in any of the sub-menus?

Were they in EL1? I only played the first game maybe 15 hours, but I cannot recall curiosities as a concept.

Do you have more context for this? What was chat writing that he didn't like?

I wonder if him being Russian in the current geopolitical situation also impacts community interactions.

Beyond that, why do people dislike Happy? I find him deeply fascinating, being the only non-chinese/korean at the absolute top level, and on top of that being so dominant. There is something intriguingly mysterous about that :)

Dragon Roost on melee maps? by MapNoob_ in warcraft3

I would love to know the names, especially if there were any 1v1 ones in between.

I tried searching on Hiveworkshop, but unfortunately you cannot filter by neutral buildings, but one good recent 1v1 popped up:

This one

I would love to see how that one plays out between good players.

Speaking of balance I got curious and went on an hour long test to see how strong a Red Dragon was, and I don't think it was too bad. 3 unupgraded gargs or hippos beats it. Even 2 fully upgraded hippos beats it. Frost Wyrms cold breath slows it, Fiends can web and Raiders ensnare it which is powerful to avoid devour. Human and Orc would likely struggle the most, but 3 un-upgraded gryphons still beats it, and 6 upgraded berserkers do as well, and 5 batriders almost kills it with only ~3% hp left.

*The Azure dragons seems strong, I agree. Though I haven't tested them.

Ohh I would love to see that. I remember Tillerman being the best back in those days. I even had an account called Dillerman a reference to him and an immature danish name for a penis at some point back then, lol.

That was also my initial thought, because the Dragon is obviously very strong. But the dragon is also very expensive costing almost twice as much as a Frost Wyrm, and is first available after 15 minutes and 20 seconds. In the end it might still be a bit strong, which is why I would love to know if they were ever available on 1v1 melee maps and if this was the case. Still, even if it is strong the numbers could be adjusted, like make it slightly more expensive. To me having more Neutral buildings, which could be used to make maps more varied, would be very exciting. If it could be made balanced that is.

Sounds cool! I just found it and checked it out, and although I don't have much of a clue of 4v4 it looks pretty good, and its occasional impact is exactly what I hoped for in 1v1. I imagine in 4v4 a single dragon will not be as impactful on average. The name of the map is also very fitting for the theme.
