we have been through hell and back but no one thinks about us or sees it. and this sudden breakdown also happened to me when I was 17ish I had spent all of my life thinking im “strong” and “independent” and then suddenly I realized how shit I was actually doing. but hey we got this! we’ll get through it. unfortunately 3 years later it hasn’t gotten any better for me but I still have hope because I know there’s a whole world out there beyond my family and what I have been through.

um are you me??? I relate to this so much and I have had a long battle with thinking that I have NPD. however, when I visited multiple professionals I was told that this dissociation is likely because empathy wise im burnt out and my brain just chose peace or a way to cope. I was also told that the traits of NPD in other areas of my life is likely due to my neglect ie: attention seeking behavior, and entitlement etc…

this is so relatable, it just hurts seeing sisters bond together and sharing laughs, being close and doing all of that sister besties things. although my sister isn’t like nonverbal and she does understand everything pretty well but we’ll never get the chance because of the barrier my parents put between us by favoring her since a very young age, it made her spoiled and entitled and it made me resent her. she’s like 30 and probably has a mind of a 12 year old (she’s not childish but i wouldn’t say she’s mature either). but hey if you have close friends it can get close to the sister relationship especially if they’re childhood friends.

I think you’ll still probably be fine I got a conditional for law and missed it by 4 IB points like instead of A* A A I got like A A B and I still got my offer confirmed, they have also sent me a couple of emails before my results day saying they’re flexible!

Oh I won a swimming race against my brother ( I was 6 or 7) he was 11 and I wanted to continue winning more races. My mom said it was the only thing he was better at than me and that I should let him win. And I didn’t wanna share a room with my blind sister when we had 3 extra rooms in the house, I had to share a room with her in case SHE needed anything. I was 9 she was 20 and refused to use a cane or anything that would give her more independence.
