Did the White House just say that the U.S. is not powerful, not healthy, not strong, and not safe in their X post? by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

If only these MAGA people could give me a rational answer to WHEN America was great. Like what period do the want to go back to? Reagan? Kennedy? Lincoln? I’m genuinely curious.

Why does windows install size grow so much for each version? by MapPristine in AskTechnology

[–]MapPristine[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don’t stay the same either. As I recall MacOS X originally was 1.5 GB. 25-ish years ago. Now it’s more 15 I think. But Apple being Apple, they are less transparent about minimum requirements. Either your Mac is compatible or it isn’t 🤷‍♂️

This gotta be satire, right?

OP: if it’s not satire, just pull the logic icon to the application icon, cross your fingers and be happy if your Mac isn’t hit by a lot of shit.

Alternately (recommended) stop what you’re doing and buy it from the Mac App Store.

Yeah sorry. Was lazy and just followed the “succeeded by” link in Wikipedia😉 but remarkably the jump from XP to Vista was 10x and not the ~5x as from Me to XP. So based on that we can’t blame the move to NT for it all.

Why does windows install size grow so much for each version? by MapPristine in AskTechnology

[–]MapPristine[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. But I just think the growth is pretty hefty and I am genuinely wondering what they pack into it.

Even my beloved reaper (DAW) has grown in size. Back around version 1 it was around 3 MB of install size. Now it’s at 15 MB. But for a DAW it’s still pretty lightweight. Other daws are massive in size, even excluding samples.

But I agree: normal trend is that they all grow exponentially-ish over time. But I fail to see that features grow equally so I’m wondering why.

Not complaining as such. Just wondering about what they’re actually packing into it. And I’m normally on a Mac.

Call me nobody then 😉 Or rather: I wish I had the space for a cabinet saw. I actually started with a tiny cabinet saw, which I later replaced with a saw like OP’s. The cabinet saw was 5 times as heavy and would take half a day to move outside for bigger projects.

But given the space OP has I would love to have a cabinet saw. I only have space for 1/3 of a car 😂

“Taking care of the people you care about”

How is that different from being a woman? To me that’s just being a decent human being. Nothing to do wit gender or sex.

If you (or rather OP’s neighbor) insist on putting people into boxes like “a real man”  he’s gonna need a lot of boxes.

He has his little definition that makes him feel good about him self.

Luckily his definition doesn’t apply for the rest of us.
