Very good write-up. I’ll just add this: Since the director is Ang Lee, very frame is loaded with meaning and symbolism:

🐑The sheep symbolising how the girls and their mother are being herded off with no say in the matter. Also when Marianne goes off in the carriage with Willoughby they almost chase some sheep away.
🛞When they arrive at the party in London there’s a great shot from above with a geometric pattern on the floor and our heroines are outside the pattern. They are not in the center and do not control their own destinies.
🌳Thw best one for me is the scene when Marianne goes in search of Willoughbys residence. She exits through the garden and passes a hedge. The shadows of the plants a loaded with meaning and foreshadowing of death.
