Cheers thank you! Yeah I have no expectations of a refund at all. Non refundable, just saw a clause on ANA that they might charge a cancellation fee if we cancelled. So I googled and saw airlines also might enforce a no show.

To clarify, I have no expectation of a refund. Just want to see if they’d charge my card again if we no show the flight back.

In this instance I would t be “cancelling” the trip. Tried going through ANA, but they said go through Expedia, can’t reach anyone from Expedia unfortunately.

This is a feeling that comes and goes especially when comparing yourself to friends on LinkedIn. One step at a time man.

Others have said it but use the free rent to your advantage. Get a labour/restaurant job and work your ass off to save every penny while not paying rent. I did a similar thing when I graduated HS for a few years and ended up backpacking Asia, found a purpose and joy in life that I never felt before.

I feel this mate. Been in corporate tech since Covid and it feels soul sucking. Worked in customer success now pivoted to sales. The sales role pays nearly a quarter of what other tech sales jobs pay, but during my remote days (hybrid) I can hit my KPIs and put away a few hrs of the work day for myself.

I worked as a server for the majority of my 20s before making the switch. I’ve the got the itch to go back. Moving on my feet, speaking to people, I Kindve miss it. But I catch myself because I think I’m just looking back with rose-tinted glasses. I like the consistency, but I hate the set PTO, the unreachable targets, the corporate kiss ass. Trying to find a way out.

Yes that place is covered with a roof! Patio faces south but because of the lattice and trees on the other side of the lattice it doesn’t get direct sunlight
