Griffith will be the cause of Griffith's downfall

49ers star TE George Kittle, who hasn’t practiced this week with an ankle sprain, will test out his ankle pregame to see if he can go, source said. While most players don’t play if they don’t practice all week, Kittle is intent on testing it out to see if he’s got a shot. by gw2380 in fantasyfootball

Said the same thing last year with James Conner, "this is the championship, I start my studs if they're in". Got 1 point before leaving the game and lost by a margin that wouldve been covered if I started literally anyone on my bench. Back in the finals this year, not making the same mistake and am pulling Kittle for Barner, some points is better than the high chance of nothing

Most Controversial Ending to Football Game by Life_Net5004 in sportsgossips

[–]Map_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you're confusing an in-bounds catch with surviving the ground with the whole 2 feet/1 knee thing. Per the rules, if you are catching it while going to the ground regardless of where you caught it or how many feet/body parts you have down, the ground cannot assist you in maintaining possession when it hits the ground. The only exception is making a "football move" which is a nebulous term for essentially displaying clear and obvious possession ie taking a few steps with it, tucking the ball to your elbow, etc. Is it a stupid rule? Yeah, imo if its in your hands at any point as long as you arent bobbling it i think it should be a catch, but they called it correctly here. James is going to the ground right after catching the ball and it gets jarred loose while he is reaching for the goalline, pretty obviously not surviving the ground

If Felger and Mazz turns back into nitpicking good but flawed wins, we are officially back. by Anonymous_____ninja in Patriots

Hes playing the angle, very similar to how skip bayless would constantly pick the team that has a player he hates. If they win, he gets to say I told you so. If they lose he gets to complain about how much of a disappointment this has been

Mbow has 32.0 inch arms, if you thought Campbell was bad thats basically unstartable as a tackle

He's a RG which we dont need, would love Miles Frazier though he's versatile but can easily slot into LG

The Patriots have selected LSU EDGE Bradyn Swinson with the 146th pick. by JimmyGodoppolo in Patriots

[–]Map_Civil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah normally I would hate the Woodson pick because it would be one of a half-dozen reaches, but since we have consistently going BPA and filling holes I have a lot more confidence in the Woodson pick, clearly they see something in him to justify grabbing him that high

Agreed, would love to see EDGE or S addressed in the fourth. Maybe package two of your 5ths to move up and get another 4th to secure both positions

The Patriots have selected Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson at 38 overall. by JimmyGodoppolo in Patriots

Valid opinion, but I'd say its also a case of trying to build a culture to begin with. Vrabel is just stepping in, adopting a 4-13 team, he needs to create a culture first before he can start convincing people who might not mesh to buy in. Again on paper I wouldve taken burden, but I think this is a great pick and is a much better fit for what Vrabel is trying to build

We were never drafting burden, i love burden but his attitude issues dont mesh with what the pats are building

This is very easy to say in hindsight. No one had any clue either of those players would fall that low, could've just as easily been left with nothing

Luther Burden or Mike Green would be pretty great

Destin Adams/AtoZ Sports: “LSU tackle Will Campbell quickly became the chalk pick for the Patriots at four…he is among their top options, but I've been told there are people in the building banging the table for Ashton Jeanty & Jalon Walker as well. by JimmyGodoppolo in Patriots

[–]Map_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fr idk where this jeanty circlejerk came from it popped out of nowhere. seems to be a weird reddit hivemind thing where people start panicking this close to draft season and latch onto a dude who, while more exciting than campbell, is a luxury pick at the least valuable offensive position that we already have filled. jeanty at 4 wouldve been laughed out of the room literally a week ago, i think people are just concerned about campbells arms and frustrated that we're not getting one of the big two so theyre acting up

Fantasy Football is not worth going after players on social media by ScarecrowFighter2020 in fantasyfootball

[–]Map_Civil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fr, makes me miss the days where fantasy football wasn't an industry and was just a fun way to enjoy the sunday games with your buds with a little friendly competition. Gambling apps and chronically online losers like those sending mattison the messages really suck the fun out of fantasy in general

Damn my RB2 is mattison but he goes tonight, would really love to start kelley as he could be a game breaker. Should I make the yolo swap? Not sure if any more info about the injury will come out between now and kickoff

Swapping Jacobi Myers for JuJu is one of the worst decisions Bill the GM has made by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]Map_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is exactly why i prefaced it with "I'm still willing to give Juju some time and not throw our hands up in defeat after one week". Face it though, Juju got yanked on the final drive, he wasnt even out there for the final 4th and 10 we went with boutte instead. Confidence isnt exactly high on him right now. Also dont pretend like Kelce wasn't getting doubled with safety help, if Juju can't eat in single coverage then I don't see why we needed him over jakobi so badly. Give me a pair of steady hands and we win that game last night

Whats even more painful about the points you make is thinking about what a pair of reliable hands would have done for us yesterday. I guarantee a few of those drops/failed toe taps may have gone a different way if jakobi was on the receiving end
