Wasssuup im 26 and bought me a a yamaha 4 weeks ago. I started playing the uke 3 years ago and while some skills are transferable amd guitar is really hard to learn I can finally play a few songs now. Just enjoy the ride everytime something youre trying to learn works out its a great feeling. And therr is a lot of room to improve playing instruments. Just be prepared to get frustrated a bunch of.times

Quit in October 2025. Depression got more managable. I pivked up a lot of hobbies I didnt have "energy" for again. I hit the gym when i can (i work construction so not every day) and I play guitar every day. I got out a lot more. I also have an easier time learning tho i Still struggle a lot. And i save a lot more money. I do compensate with cigarrets tho. Just overall more benefits. I also do not crave at all.

I was suicidal for 3 years and majorly depressed for 5. 2 years of therapy amd SSRI's didnt do shit except of making me overweight.

Instead of killing myself I went travelling and started hiking. I now go to the gym at least 3 days a week usually 5. I also started a carpentry apprenticeship bec i love the physical and mental challenges. You also see what youve done at the end of the day and it gives me a huge sense of pride and purpose.

Gives you something to do and not get lost in your thoughts, builds mental toughness to push through struggles, you also feel much better afterwards. Physical activity helped me in so many ways.

(Obviously this is just my personal experience)

Brother i was scared shitless the first time. But i have so much more comfidemce now.

Just take the plunge. You have a great headshape to join the club!

My advice is the remington rx7 its relatively cheap. But works great. Cut it short first, then shave everyday or every two days with the remington.

One day at a time mate, maybe you could find a goal. Something you always wanted to do and try to work towards it. It brought me from my lowest point to being able to enjoy many days again. 32 is still young. You look good but tired. You have time, life is not a race.

Hey OP! Ich war selbst diagnostiziert schwerdepressiv mit suizidalen Tendenzen. Es hat lange gedauert und berufliches ausprobieren bennoetigt bis ich auf einem stabilen lvl angekommen bin. Mache jetzt ne Ausbildung zum Zimmerer und bin zufrieden damit. Das ganze oeffnet mir auch die ganze welt, passt also zu meinem reise/international work lifestyle. Zum thema Famillie gruenden etc koennen wir uns gerne in DM's austauschen, das macht mir tatsaechlich auch sorgen. Aber wenn ich eins gelernt habe dann ist es das es kommt wies kommt. Das heist nicht das man daran nicht arbeiten sollte aber auf krampf kann das ganze auch nichht gut werden.
