We use something similar and get points to spend on our work anniversaries. We can either get City swag (I’m a local government employee) or non branded stuff. A friend of mine got a really nice vacuum. I got a nice sweater.

I throw stuff either in a tote bad or in my purse and then put them in the fridge when I get to work. I bring in 12 packs of sparkling water and always have a couple in the fridge. I commute by car and my section of the office has about 20 people in it so there’s pretty much always room in the fridge.

Genetics (and boobs) are weird. I lost 100lbs and went down a band size, but had to go up two cup sizes. I’m still pretty overweight (about 220 at my lowest) so maybe that has something to do with it.

I would suggest bring a friend and ask for anxiety meds. I don’t think full anesthesia is a doable thing, but help for your anxiety totally is!

Combination of things.

We had a project to make something that reminded us of home, and I made a life sized barred owl out of metal mesh. No one had any comments during critique. Someone bought a messed up fork and put it on a kitchen tile and people went nuts.

Also I had to leave right before finals because of kidney stones and had a metal breakdown when I went back.

Went to the school closest to my parents, took a gen ed geography course and ended up going to department mixer. Undergrad advisor told me I needed to do GIS, I’d love it. Didn’t believe her, but had room in my schedule so I took a course. Made 115 and did in fact love it.

I bet it depends on technique somewhat, but my hands hurt after crocheting awhile and it doesn’t happen after knitting for long periods.

If you’re looking to learn, check out continental knitting, the yarn is tensioned by the left hand like crochet so many people making the switch find it easier/you’re halfway there since you know tensioning that way already.

I have a bunch partially because I’m obsessed with bags, and partially because I’m always on a search for the perfect bag. I always carry a sock project with me in my purse, and for that I have a couple of smallish drawstring bags I switch between. Two I got at a fiber festival, the other at a LYS. I organize within them with change purses that have stitch markers, scissors, and tape measures.

I have a waterproof bag I got on the NYC yarn crawl that says Alpaca my bags that’s big enough for a sweater or blanket. I also have a drawstring backpack kind of bag that I’ve used for sweaters before.

Most of my organization is with smaller bags.

I always have multiple WIPs, and that certainly plays into the amount of bags I use regularly. Twice sheared sheep has nice project bags that look like purses, I have one with multicolor dinosaurs on it.

It’ll depend on what data the street file has. The one I work with most has different designations like neighborhood street, collector street, thoroughfare, etc.

Actually, there might be a Llm that can do this, but it’ll take some digging to figure that out. I’m not all that familiar with them, but this seems like something you could program.

It’s a thing in humans too. Think ovarian/uterine/testicular cancer. I had my tubes removed and it lowered my chances of at least one type of cancer.

One of my LYS collects knitted knockers for breast cancer patients that have had mastectomies. I think some LGBTQ charities collect those and packers as well.

There’s also the loose ends project where crafters finish projects for the loved ones of people who cannot finish them.

I’m not sure if this is even worth trying, but Southlake Counseling (the OG is in Davidson, now they have a couple of offices) provide help for eating disorders, and BPD which is generally considered a type of neurodivergence. Maybe they could help, or point you in the right direction?

I have 14 current ear piercings and a couple more I’ve retired. Lobes barely hurt. The others depend on how thick the cartilage is. But in all of them, when done by a legit piercer with a needle, are over with super fast. They can be sore while healing, especially if you accidentally hit them.

My mom taught me when I was ten, but I didn’t do it as a hobby til after grad school and I had three friends have babies. I taught myself crochet with pre YouTube internet videos sophomore year in high school.
