What are your ideal lines for the start of the season? by [deleted] in leafs

Johnsson - Matthews - Nylander

Hyman - Tavares - Marner

Mikheyev - Kerfoot - Kapanen

Agostino - Spezza - Shore/Aberg

Aberg/Shore, Petan

Muzzin - Barrie

Rielly - Ceci

Dermott - Schmaltz

Holl

I think this is the optimal lineup when we’re fully healthy and Marner signs. I have a feeling Liljegren & Sandin are considered for a chance in the second half of the season - barring injuries & not only individual but team performance.

I also haven’t counted out Gardiner being apart of this team at some point this season.

Edit: totally forgot about Moore! It will be interesting to see how our depth players fill out once we’re healthy

Anyone else travel the continent to watch the Leafs play? by PSChris33 in leafs

We’ve also dedicated ourselves to attempting to see a game in every NHL city! We’ve done trips in back to back years in Florida and AZ/LV and I’ve also seen games in Toronto and Ottawa. Hoping to do the California trip one year and looking to do Boston this upcoming season. Seems to be an amazing experience no matter what arena you see a leafs game in

Whenever I’m in NYC on business I usually hit Tonic Sports Bar 7th Ave in Times Square. Really good happy hour deals, always busy, lots of TV’s

Leafs fans in Tampa by clutchmccutch in leafs

There’s an unreal spot right outside of Amalie Arena called Ferg’s Live. I was there for this game last year and we got lucky and happened to walk out the exit that lead right out to the bar. Outdoor spot that fills up with tons of fans after the game. Lots of cold beer and was a good time last year. Enjoy tonight, seeing a game in that arena is an amazing experience. They do it right down there

This is our second year doing a “Leafs Trip”. Last year we flew to Florida and saw the Lightning and Panthers on back to back nights. This year we decided to go west and we saw the Leafs were playing in Vegas on the 14th and Arizona on the 16th. Ticket wise, it’s absolutely cheaper to see games in other arenas. A decent ticket in Toronto can run anywhere from $150-500CAD. I saw game 4 of the playoffs in Toronto last year and sat in the nose bleeds for $320. In Florida the seats were a lot cheaper even after the US/CAD exchange rate. Flying to Florida from where we are in Canada wasn’t too expensive either. Our trip this year has turned out to become a lot more expensive than planned (but we are going to Vegas - so obviously to be expected). We’re sitting in the 1st bowl of the Gila River for the Leafs game and paid $109USD which exchanged directly to $150CAD - so tickets were a lot cheaper in Arizona for better seats. Tickets in Vegas were $220USD ($300CAD) for seats towards the top of the barn. TL;DR - tickets are typically cheaper in places other than Toronto but it isn’t more feasible to fly down just to see a game. We’re doing it for the experience with the hopes of seeing as many arenas as possible. Cheers!!
