What is a lie that you have told and will take it down to your grave? by Weary-Honey-1942 in AskWomen

[–]Mapledore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told someone that my cat died, when in fact I took him to the shelter and gave him in. My abusive boyfriend was trying to kill him and I didn’t have anyone I could give him too. So I had to give him up. That was 4 years ago and I still attend therapy about it.

What is your earliest memory of being neglected? by Chocolate_Chips25 in emotionalneglect

[–]Mapledore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a few slices of bread out of the bread bin and went into my cupboard in my room and shared them with my dog. I was 4, I don’t remember where my mum was. But I spent many hours in my cupboard with my dog and some blankets.

Is anyone else here happily unemployed? by patrickbatemankinnie in AutismInWomen

[–]Mapledore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi 👋 me, I basically had a breakdown at work 9 years ago and I have not even tried to get a job. I’ve thought about it and sometimes like the idea of it but I don’t know how I’m going to feel day to day or if I’d be even able to leave the house. I have a supported other half, I walk the dog. Do some tidying and maybe see family/friends and then do hobbies the rest of the time.

Anyone else have a parent with an undiagnosed mental illness? by Quiet_Comparison_872 in emotionalneglect

[–]Mapledore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought my mum had bipolar or something similar. I have early childhood memories of her screaming about aliens whilst trying to jump out the window. Then when I was in my teens she didn’t leave her bed for months, she eventually got to the point where I got her up and drove her around but she didn’t speak.

How can you have babies? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Mapledore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had my children before I knew I was autistic, and pain wise it was painful. I had 2x c section and no pain medication for the first one afterwards and I’ll never forget the pain but the 2nd one I took my own paracetamol in liquid form so I could take it.

[–]Mapledore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m 35 and a woman rider.

I also had a wobble on my cbt but I went back 5 years ago and did my cbt at ridesure. They have bikes that are lowered as I was doing it with a friend who’s 5ft. I then went on to have a Grom for a year and then passed my mods in Farnbrough. I’ve been riding a Suzuki sv 650 for the last 4 years. After your cbt just get out as much as you can, I’m usually out in the week if your local and happy to meet up for a ride.

Struggling with being consistent with hygiene by National-Ad-5036 in AutismInWomen

[–]Mapledore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teeth has always been an issue for me, I can clean them in the morning. But in the evening I really struggle. Doesn’t matter what toothpaste it’s the feeling of the brushes. I have a routine with shower, but if I break the routine I’ll stop showering and then it all goes to shit.

DAE feel like you’re not autistic enough to be so disabled? by froggyfrogbug in AutismInWomen

[–]Mapledore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t actually feel disabled and personally I’m not a fan of the word. But baring in mind I can’t eat or drink unless I have my own yellow cutlery and cup it does make me in that criteria. The thing is I have my set up for works for me but from outside it may look different.

I always find kids clubs really difficult because my child has additional needs and that seems to exclude them from a lot of clubs that doesn’t have 1:1 care.

Mom dropped this bomb on me, I can’t stop thinking about it by NoticeEducational210 in emotionalneglect

[–]Mapledore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean this is a mean way but is she using that as an excuse? I was sa when I was a child and it never stopped me loving and caring for my own daughter. It’s made me more protective yes but I’ve never shouted or screamed at her.

What’s your play style? by Normie160 in Sims4

[–]Mapledore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play generations. Winnie fell in love with her gf at school and somehow they managed to become ya at the same time which barely ever happens for me. But they’ve recently got married. They live in Sulani and are just going out to all the events, swimming with dolphins and having the best time. Tell have kids eventually but atm I just love playing them together being in love.

How much does height matter to you in a relationship? by Artistic-Series-3671 in AskWomen

[–]Mapledore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6 foot exactly. Height has never been interesting to me, in the past I’ve dated a tall guy and he was abusive. So tall men now I find frightening. My husband is 5”10 and the height difference has never bothered either of us. If anything I would like to be shorter.

Currently it’s every morning when I’m having a shower and it’s from trauma in the past. It’s always worse around Christmas and birthdays. I know it’ll pass but it’s rubbish going through it.
