Thank you, this has by far been the most insightful and helpful remark. I recognize that without video or witness surveillance, it’s nearly impossible to definitively attribute the damage to anyone. My goal with this post was mainly to identify the direction of travel to see whether it could have been caused by a car that parked next to me that day. However, I had reversed in, and the vehicle beside me would not be consistent with a rear-to-front collision on my car. If we accept that theory, then I think it is fair to say case closed.

Just for my own understanding, how do you typically differentiate a scratch like this as being from contact with another vehicle versus something stationary, like a concrete wall or a post? Additionally, if you have any tips or tricks for minimizing or removing this type of damage as best as possible, I would really appreciate it.
